I was in Portland back in January and one night while walking to a bar after dinner, we came across a closed intersection.  Seems we'd almost wandered onto the shooting of an episode of Grimm.

We asked if they needed any extras and were turned down.  Which was fine, I wanted to get my drink on.  smile

Speaking of long breaks, when does Breaking Bad start back up?

Psych just began their next season as well after something like 10 months off.

I think Breaking Bad is set to return in June, or summer sometime.

How about Falling Skies?

That's a summer series and should be back in May-ish time frame

Oh and Southland is back too

Breaking Bad starts back on Sunday, July 14 - mark your calendars.  icon_cool At least, according to Aaron Paul's Tweet...

New episodes of Breaking Bad will air July 14th. Get ready to break some shit.

So assuming the last eight episodes air consecutively (no weeks off for repeats), the series finale would be on Sunday, Sept. 1 (Labor Day weekend).

Also, the company that produces the "Talking Dead" post-episode talk shows for AMC is apparently doing similar for the final eight episodes of "Breaking Bad."

*I doubt they'd use Chris Hardwick again (he's just too busy), who has grown on me (I complained about him initially) simply because of his all-out enthusiasm for all things Walking Dead.
======

I have been watching Southland again. I really preferred Lucy Liu's chemistry with Michael Cudlitz to his two different partners this year. One was an Afghanistan War veteran with PTSD, and then he was succeeded by a hispanic actor I remember from a paramedics show on NBC (the show and actor's name escapes me).

Sean Hatosy's character has become a near psychotic, separated husband and Regina King's character seems to want nothing to do with her baby. Ben McKenzie's character has become so hardened since Season 1, I barely recognize him. And now they seem to have the characters constantly cussing but getting bleeped out (this being TNT/basic cable). I am curious if maybe the DVD/streaming versions won't be bleeped?

While I remain fond of Southland, I feel like if they're going to turn all my favorite characters into borderline abusive anger management-types and borderline child-neglect cases, then at least give us an occasional glimpse of positive humanity in the characters. imho, it doesn't have to get warm and fuzzy, but even Hill Street Blues let you embrace the roughest characters at times. It's hard to do when they are - it seems; perhaps I'm not watching closely enough - constantly doing repellent things.
