Speaking of long breaks, when does Breaking Bad start back up?
Breaking Bad starts back on Sunday, July 14 - mark your calendars.

At least, according to Aaron Paul's Tweet...

So assuming the last eight episodes air consecutively (no weeks off for repeats), the series finale would be on Sunday, Sept. 1 (Labor Day weekend).
Also, the company that produces the "Talking Dead" post-episode talk shows for AMC is apparently doing similar for the final eight episodes of "Breaking Bad."

I have been watching Southland again. I really preferred Lucy Liu's chemistry with Michael Cudlitz to his two different partners this year. One was an Afghanistan War veteran with PTSD, and then he was succeeded by a hispanic actor I remember from a paramedics show on NBC (the show and actor's name escapes me).
Sean Hatosy's character has become a near psychotic, separated husband and Regina King's character seems to want nothing to do with her baby. Ben McKenzie's character has become so hardened since Season 1, I barely recognize him. And now they seem to have the characters constantly cussing but getting bleeped out (this being TNT/basic cable). I am curious if maybe the DVD/streaming versions won't be bleeped?
While I remain fond of Southland, I feel like if they're going to turn all my favorite characters into borderline abusive anger management-types and borderline child-neglect cases, then at least give us an occasional glimpse of positive humanity in the characters. imho, it doesn't have to get warm and fuzzy, but even Hill Street Blues let you embrace the roughest characters at times. It's hard to do when they are - it seems; perhaps I'm not watching closely enough - constantly doing repellent things.
