Does anyone have any experience with this thing? SAD? We have an employee who says he gets it every year, and his performance is going down the shitter right now. Showing up for work late A LOT. Is this thing real?
It's real but also quite treatable. It's no excuse for poor work performance. I'd ask for a doctor's note to document it and also to make sure he's not scamming you. If he produces a doctor's note then give him a month's leeway at work to get it treated and let him know that you expect it to be a done deal by then.
