I love this show and watch it every week (of course). I have to say though that tonight's episode was a huge disappointment. It generated nary a single chuckle out of either myself or my wife.

I did notice that Zach directed it though. Has he directed other episodes and I just haven't noticed, or was this his first?

To be honest this season has been flat to me.

I just caught a bit of the episode but I gotta say that it appeared the episode was built around a one-liner type of idea ("ooh gotta have sex with whats her name") and it wasn't an idea that could sustain 30 minutes.

Me and the wife laughed plenty of times.  The shocking ending wasn't so shocking (the Molly Shannon plotline) considering they have done something similiar before.  Still, one of the only shows on TV that I actually look forward to watching every week.
