That was f'ng crazy.  It's the Treadstone program for dogs.  I wonder how many versions it took to get to Tret?  They're all screwed once he becomes aware and Jason Bournes them all.

I never understood why they insisted on calling it "The Treadstone Project" in the Bourne series of books/films.  It sounds too much like Firestone and makes me think they're working on a steel belted snow tire for the 21st century instead of a super soldier with Alzheimers.

For some reason my brain's thought progression goes from treadstone>treadmill>hamster wheel>hamster ball.  I don't think that's what Robert Ludlum had in mind.  If he wrote the book in the 2000s, he could have gone with OMGWTFURDEAD Program.  Tret the parkour attack dog would be a good OMGWTFURDEAD operative.
