....my brand spankin' new Sharp Aquos HDTV. Ain't she a beauty? You guys have no idea how incredible games look on this thing, amazing picture quality. The wife and I are tickled pink....got a great deal, and I just wanted to share it with you guys. Our other 2 Sony Bravia's have been demoted to our bedroom and the one that was in out bedroom is now in our sons bedroom. He sure loves seeing his 360 games in High Definition now (he was using an old CRT analog set).

Purty, what size?
32", which is MORE than large enough for our den. It's a rectangular room and we don't sit lengthwise, so it works great.

I just don't think I get good enough details. Of course, I also go crazy on TVs, having a 42 for the livign room and a 46 for the gaming room. I am sure the money could better be spent elsewhere. Is that the newish 1080p aquos j? its a nice looker!

Nice TV.
I also use a "32 in my basement. I think it's the perfect size for gaming in a smallish room.

Sony LCDs are Samsung screens so you can include Samsung in your purchase list, Krono. J, how much did you pay for that? I assume it's the 1080p model, 37 or 42? (PM me if you don't wanna spill the beans on price; I ask because I helped my GF's mom pick out the 1080p 37" for $1100 CAD)

If it makes you feel any better, when I want to check the weather or something real quick on my HTPC I'm often about 2 feet away from a 46".

I have the 37" model and I love it. Blu-Ray movies look amazing with it. PS3 games don't look shabby either as the motion blur is really minimal on that tv.

At 32", and for $200 more, it would be a complete waste of money going to 1080p....you just can't tell much if any difference on this size screen.

Agreed, in fact this unit being 6MS on the refresh rate, was the deciding factor, because the Samsung, Panasonic, LG, and Toshiba I was considering, were 8ms each.

Congrats!
I got myself the 52" Samsung LCD HDTV for Christmas and was completely floored when I saw how games look on it. I'm still astonished. Mass Effect was the first game I fired up on my new baby and I was flabbergasted at the picture quality. And I thought my old Hitachi 43" rear projection HDTV was good.
