Roboticists are using the lessons of a 1930s human physiologist to build the world's fastest walking robot.
Runbot is a self-learning, dynamic robot, which has been built around the theories of Nikolai Bernstein.

I dont know that you can call that self learning.  Its not adjusting fast enough to go up the hill without falling down three times and being reset.  I have seen videos of other walking robots that do a better job than this one (at learning); although those were four-legged ones.

So when this robot takes over the world and they are chasing you find a hill go up and watch the robot fall over trying to climb it, just dont pick the robot back up and your safe.

Children fall down a lot when learning to walk, too.

It's kind of funny: the robots in Isaac Asimov's books had to trained, as well.

"It's a learning computer.."

That's pretty impressive actually, very cool. Kind of scary, but still cool.
