Nothing pisses me off more than a driver on a cell phone, going UNDER the speed limit, in the left lane and not being able to pass. I had the pleasure of being behind THREE of these aholes this morning on the wonderful Florida highways. I was able to cut two of them off and slam my brakes in front of them to show them what I thought of their cell phone habits.

It infuriates me so much, I feel like i could actually take a human life.

I don't get upset much when I drive.  I expect other drivers to be idiots, and plan accordingly.

I probably helps that I have about a 2 minute drive to and from work.

I swear... if I didn't have to drive into work I would be the calmest person onthe planet.  I'm not exagerating that 90% of my anger comes from driving.

The man that decided the best way for our nation to get from point A to point B is to put that person in control of their own giant steel killing machine should be dug up and shot, again, and again.

Okay, I'm actually a rather calm person, but this happens to be big peeve of mine. smile

Only thing that really drives me truely crazy is when I sit in a ton of traffic because the jackasses in front of me are rubbernecking some minor friggen accident!!! It took me a hour and fourty minutes to go twenty five miles home from work yesterday...And that's all on the highway arrrrrrr!!!! Reason being they were doing some work in a truck stop!!! I swear I wanted to get out of my car and just cap any person caught slowing down looking at that.... People suck

I can't STAND people who drive 5-10 mph BELOW the speed limit. I was in a hurry to go to lunch yesterday and got behind this old woman who was going 35 in a 45. Unfortunately it was a 2-lane road all the way to my destination so I was stuck behind this feeble old bitch and arrived at lunch a good 10 minutes later than I should have.

I subscribe to the George Carlin theory of driving: Anybody that drives slower than you is an IDIOT and anybody that drives faster than you is a MANIAC!

My personal favorite is when you get stuck behind some phantom car where all you see is the white knuckles clenching the wheel and shaken a little back and forth as the car drifts right then left then right....  I am defintely for denying drivers license to old people...

Twice since I have moved up here I've seen one car deliberately sideswipe another while they were moving about 45 mph. Never resulted in any crashes but they would still be going at it as I slowed down to get away from these idiots.
I think we all however would like to have a death ray mounted on our cars for those "special" moments.

I've given this alot of thought. What I would like is a special power that you can use once per day. Sort of a mind zotch. See you have said driver you mind zotch him and what happens is they shit themselves and pull off to the side of the road and fall asleep.  Hence no permanent injury and the hopefully after the person comes to after having slept in shit and piss realize that perhaps he/she should become a more aware driver.

Actually what i was thinking about today, while I was steaming, was more in the mortal realm. It would be some sort of unmistakeable signal to idiot drivers that tell all other drivers that there is an idiot among them. Some sort of distintive horn/light combination.

In other words, AUTO PWNAGE!!1!!1!

I remember some comedian had a bit about how he wanted to invent a gun that would kill people for five minutes... of course, it's primary target would be idiot drivers.

Here's a stat that always makes me cringe. 42,643 people were killed in car crashes last year. That's like the entire crowd at a baseball game. Scary......

Wow, given how some folks drive I actually thought it would have been quite a bit higher.  I have to laugh at folks at the airport who are so afraid to board the plane.  I then remind them the dangerous part is already over.

I have Dramatist's philosophy. I assume 98% of the people on the road are morons, or inconsiderate dickheads, and drive accordingly.

Sometimes I just pretend I'm in a video game with really bad A.I.

I don't lose my cool anymore, it's dangerous. You never know when the guy you flip-off/brake-check/flashyourbrightsat is gonna be some ex-con who wouldn't mind going back to prison. Seriously, there are some real nuts out there.

"The pathfinding sucks." How many times have we heard that one? Does *any* game have truly great pathfinding? Or is it one of those things that you only notice when it goes wrong? A question for the ages.  ninja

I've always wanted a laser that I could aim at people's tires to give them a slow leak so they have to pull over to change it.  I'd nail both tires if they were reall jerks, just so they would have more flats than spares.

Does that make me a bad person?

So let me get this straight.

You have people in front of you, driving slow, talking on their cell phones. One could assume they aren't paying attention to what they are doing,  correct? You decide the best course of action is test their attention level by placing yourself in front of their car.

Trying for the Darwin awards this year?

Three words:  Mobile Cell Jammer

Ahhhh....it sounds like a great idea, everyone's connection dropping simultaneously as you zip on by...till you think of the very next second - 15 drivers all looking at their hands instead of the road.

I personally have gotten rid of my cell phone.  There is absolutely nothing so important that it can't wait.  This is really driven home when your boss's wife get's to hear her husband's last words through his cell phone and gets to listen to him gasping his last breaths through a punctured lung from the ensuing accident.  Puts life's little shortcuts into perspectives...I'll wait till I get there.  :/

I have fun with these people. At first they anger me, but once I start hitting my horn at random intervals to mess with their conversation they usually get the point and get the hell out of the way. Some of them slow down, but every time they slow down I start hitting the horn in longer intervals so they can't hear a damned thing. If they're not on a cell phone I usually just find a way to pass them on the right and then try to box them in and go even slower.

One day some guy will get a major case of road rage and just blow my brains out from his big rusted out pickup truck with his sawed off shot-gun. Until that day, I at least find ways to make moronic drivers entertaining.

Oh just reading about this stuff puts me on edge. The mind zotch seems like the funniest idea at least.  Any power that makes someone shit themselves is pretty funny to me though.

Driving on the Southern California freeways is almost always the worst part of my day.  Why did you guys have to bring this up? Tongue
