Man, that's a major bummer to me. I don't usually care much when a celebrity bites the big one, but Pryor was something else.

Live in Concert- best.standup.evar

I know he was hurting these last years, so at least that's over with for him, something positive I guess.

"We got Richard Pryor on the video
And we got time to think about the ones we love"

Not a Richard Pryor fan, but I like that song.

holy crap thats outta the blue. I had not heard a thing about him in a long time. I remember last time I saw him he could'nt talk well enough to understand. Ill always remember him for his movies with Gene Wilder. Goodbye Richard and thank you for the memories.

Yeah, same thing here.  Since Gene Wilder is one of my all-time favorites, that's mostly what I remember him from also.  When he tried to teach Gene Wilder to be cool as a made-up black man... it was just perfect.

E! has been running a "Best 100 moments of Saturday Night Live" series this week, and one of them was the bit where Pryor and Chevy Chase were slinging racial epithets at each other ("DEAD honkey!").... got me wondering how he was doing.  I guess I know now.

That's too bad.Considering all the drugs he used to take and his "accident" tho,it's surprising he lasted this long.

Yeah real shame. Out of the blue for me too, remember him in that movie where he played a blind guy and the other guy was deaf. Can't put a name on it though.

Another older comedian died not too long ago which caught me by suprise as well. Think he was in a movie called meet wally sparks or something.

When that old senator dies, hey.. it was his time. But when people like Chris Farley, John Candy, and Richard Pryor die, it's a real shame.
