i got the first film on DVD,thought it was terrible....got the second film on DVD(Because i'm dumb like that),but never watched it..and haven't seen the third film

Loved all three movies - Its zombie flicks, with Milla, and yes, she's almost always naked! Based on a computer game - whats not to love? :-)

The movies seems to have VERY short production times though, which I take as a sign of extremely talented crew behind the movies and a high-cost production ;-)

i don't remember her being THAT naked in the first....what European Version have you got that the UK didn't get???....and i think i was more pissed off that yeah it was based on a computer game,but didn't follow the original story....i would still love to see movies based on all the games,with the Redfield kids and Wesker's double cross...i was even pissed off when i saw resi 2 film had Nemesis in it!!

EDIT TO NOTE:i am a big fan of the Resi games,so that may reflect here on the movies

She was in a bath, and fell down, and while her most private part was covered, everything else was shown - DK version FTW ;-)

and yes, I never really played the games, so I dont know, nor care, for the original story, so I'm in essence more "Free" to enjoy the stories as they are :-)

This is one of my "I'm a huge hypcorite" things. Most movies that are this bad and happen to be based on properties I love.. I hate them. Hate them. I despised the Max Payne movie. Transformers 2 was garbage.

I watch and enjoy the Resident Evil movies. They're horrid, awful movies, and I watch them anyway. Between a mild infatuation with Milla Jovovich and awfully cheesy badly written zombie stories, I can't help but laugh and grin when I watch them. I don't know what exactly it is.

The first film was entertaining, but the other two were unwatchable for me.  I actually couldn't even make it through the second one.

on a side note, TiLt's avatar makes me wish they'd finally make the damn Preacher movie/series.

you know, I had a dream last night I was watching this and one of the sub plots was them cloning Ali Larter's character.   it culminated (thanks to the alarm clock  ) with the two of them making out.

I like these movies a lot. BTW how many have there been? I think I've seen 2 ..maybe 3...definately 2. I seem to recall the last one  I watched was in a dead Vegas? UGH bad memory.

Honestly, this trailer displays almost everything I find annoying about the current 3D craze.  Hopefully, as the newness wears off, cooler heads will prevail and they'll go back to making movies instead of just throwing things at the screen for 92 minutes and charging us more for tickets.

I really enjoyed the first movie - it has just the right amount of fanservice and offered a halfway plausible explanation for what happened prior to the events of the Resident Evil videogame. The second movie, however, was just total cheese. Nemesis looked ridiculous, and the story just went off on its own misguided way. The 3rd movie was hardly even Resident Evil anymore. A story that relies on claustrophobia taking place in a wide-open desert?

This thing looks more like Ultraviolet or the Matrix than anything to do with Resident Evil. If it comes on Netflix instant watch, however, I will be compelled to view it.

So, in a break from tradition, I changed my mind.

That new trailer is one of the absolute worst trailers I've seen in a long time. Those are some truly terrible effects shots. And you can tell they're all gimmick'd up for 3D just by the cheesy shots and terrible camera angles.

Ew.

The first three movies are bad. In fact they get progressively worse as they go. But I can kind of sit back and enjoy them anyway, for whatever reason.

That trailer for Afterlife gives me flashbacks to Ultraviolet, which still resides in my top five worst movies I've ever seen in the theater.

well it's out, been busy with work so I haven't had a chance to see it yet, but estimates have it doing $27.7 million this weekend, which is better than the previous 3 movies did.
