No need to go without me for 11 days! icon_biggrin

Notes of note:

  • Trip was exhausting even though it was broken into two days.
  • Sleeping the same bed with my daughter, no matter how much she begs is a bad idea.  She kicked me, no joke, 30 times throughout the night.  AWFUL night sleep.
  • So awful was my night sleep that I nearly dozed off while driving.  Had to eat a snack to stay awake
  • Both teh kids are sick. no good.
  • Surprisingly, the 12.99 Rib Eye steak at Cracker Barrel is absolutely delicious. Comes with a giant baked potatoe and a healthy portion of salad  thumbsup
  • People driving in Georgia- whether they hail from there or not- are very aggressive.
  • I've never had any problems with people from Massastupetts, but now I do hence I call the state Massastupetts.  They seem to have a sense of entitlement.  One clown parked facing the wrong direction by a stopsign so his kids could play on the playground.  Another, while we were passing through Georgia, got on my bumper and flashed his lights for me to get out of the way...I was working on passing a Semi at the time.  If I had been alone in the car, a subtle but maddening battle for the roads would have occurred and he would have slipped into insanity.
  • The internets always makes any place feel like home cause I can chat with you guys icon_mrgreen

I live in MA, and we are called Massholes  icon_biggrin

On a side note, I didnt know you had a couple of kids. I always pictured you, some greasy virgin living in his parents basement, dropping chunks of hot pocket crumbs on his keyboard while getting into heated topics  over the difference between anime and manga. My dream has died  crybaby

I don't believe you. A steak requires a nice red wine or a tasty beer to wash it down. CB has neither. Heathens.

didn't they just have an E.Coli outbreak at CB's due to some bad steak?

Notes of note 1 Day @ DisneyWorld:

  • Disneyworld is pretty neat. Not overwhelmingly awesome, but nice.
  • If you have a daughter (or son I guess) the breakfast with Cinderella is well worth the expense.  It was the restful, simple highlight of the day.
  • Tall fat men, who are apparently of hillbilly persuasion, should be subject to cattle prodding when they spit tobacco out onto the ground while waiting in line for a ride...inside...where children are milling about.
  • Apparently, upon hitting my 30's (2 yrs ago), my ability to tolerate rides that spin dropped -2.  Fortunately, my constitution is a 17 and I didn't hurl. But man was I dizzy.
  • The staff at Disney are mostly helpful...especially the ones you can understand!
  • The monorail is a neat piece of tech. I have no idea how it works, but I couldn't help but think of Phil Hartman as I rode it.
  • Belle has always been my favorite of the Disney princesses, and the young woman who they had playing her did not live up to my expectations.  <sigh> Belle is so underappreciated.
  • As we were walking out of the park after a 9 hr day, surrounded by other exhausted parents carrying the day's trinkets and the remnants of overpacking and dragging their spent children, stumbling and struggling, I thought to myself "I've seen this before.  Where?"  Then I remembered and turned to my wife and said, 'this reminds me of Dead Rising.'

Well, despite Ike ruining my thread, I just want to convey to anyone who has any doubts about making the trip to DW- whether with children- or as a couple, it is an ideal location for either.

The Disney co really knows how to run a park. From parking to customer help, to the maps, to the cleanliness of the park, it has been a world class experience.  Each of the staff- from the regular staff to those in costume, have been treating my children like they're the only ones here.

It has been great fun.  Just great fun.

My wife and I would like to come back in the future- just the two of us- so we can take in more of the rides and sites with out the harried confusion of watching our young ones...that's how great it has been thus far.

Wonderful!

 thumbsup

If you have the extra time, Busch Gardens could be worthwhile.
