Red Moon?

I just went outside to check on something and noticed that the moon is a really deep red.  I've never seen it that color, not even during an eclipse.  Anyone know what's going on?  Smoke from a grass fire maybe?  There have been some recently but as far as I know there were none in my area tonight and I didn't smell smoke in the air.

Here's a bad pic, I shot it hand-held on a point and shoot camera then blew it up 2x.

In all seriousness, I've only heard of the moon that color during a lunar eclipse.  Google didn't immediately tell me that one occurred tonight, however.  There have been wildfires in NoCal, though, so it could be dust particles.

I've seen it turn that colour before, when the dead last rose from their graves and the earth trembled with the steps of the Old Ones.
