Readers from the Hurricane Path?

Any of our readers in the path of Ivan or lived through the previous storms?

I'm in it's path now that it's weakend a lot.

We're getting dumped on right now though.  The weatherman said we may get 10+ inches of rain.  Chattanooga floods if we get 4 inches of rain so I simply can't imagine what would happen if we get over 10, or even 8 for that matter.

My g/f's grandparents live in Pensacola and she hasn't heard from the m yet

D'oh.  I lived in Panama City for a while and I know what its like.  I'd say just give it time...they are probably without power/phone right now if it was anything like Opal.

At least it's not anything like Hurricane Mitch from a few years back. At the time I was an editor on the TCU newspaper and people would cut out the headlines and hand them to me. "Mitch Kills 4000". Kinda cool, from a detached, genocidal perspective. :twisted:

Here's hoping good luck to your girlfriend's grandparents. I'd imagine people don't live in Florida without first knowing how to survive all that, so I'm sure they're fine.
