Well the Cowboys managed to make next weeks game stay meaningful. Only was able to watch the stats online. Looked like a bit of a mess - will have to see what happened with that last touchdown with the offsetting penalties.

While I know this makes it a little harder for the 49ers, I loved that the hawks lost at home!

I think it's fun there's so much coming down to the wire.  I know it's not likely, but it would be great if Seattle ends up the 5 seed and Niners 2.

Poor Teggy (or not?) Romo out for season with herniated disc in back

Tonight is possibly the last game to played in Candlestick (I say possibly because we could be hosting a playoff game or two...)

Here's my favorite memory of going to Candlestick.

My favorite memory of Candlestick Park was when Matt Nelson and I had season tickets. It was the season right after they were 2-14 and we got them fairly cheap. $500 each with parking included. That season the niners played the Raiders and we had some raider fans in front of us. Because it was Raiders vs 49ers it was a fiesty atmosphere with fights being a common occurance.

The raider fans in front of us we're cool, and we were going back and forth playfully. The game was close and it ended up in overtime. 49ers marched down the field and was ready to hit a FG. Raider fans were already leaving the stadium at this point and the niner fans were letting them have it. We let the guys in front of us have it when they packed up in assumed defeat. The FG was a 25 yarder. Should be easy. But, we had Wade Richey. Sure enough he misses, (they don't call him Wide Richey for nothing) and all the Raider fans who haven't left the stadium came running back to their seats. Of course we give them a hard time for abandoning their team.

Raiders march down the field and set themselves up for a easy FG. They had Sebastian Janikowski and he's always on the mark, especially during that year. And yes 49ers fans started to leave including us... Sad to say. But hey, we want to beat traffic, and Janikowski is unstoppable. So we head out and the Raider fans in front of us gives us the same friendly treatment.

Matt and I head out and we watch the kick from the concourse TV and see that he actually missed it. So we run back to our seats and without missing a beat the Raider fans give us what we deserved.

49ers ended up winning that game, and it was probably the most fun experience I had at Candlestick. Everything was crazy from fights in the stands, the game itself and the friendly banter.

Kyle Orton will guide us to the promised land! He's the new Tom Brady! (Of course Cowboys defense will just give up 50 points so what does it matter.)

Great way to close out the stick with the Immaculate Redemption.  I thought the Niners were headed for eliminationgamesville before that.

I don't think the Niners secondary is going to fare too well against the Packers.

or any passing QB.

Don't know if it was AZ who adjusted after the 1st quarter or if the 49ers thought that was all they needed to do was play 1 qtr.

Now that was a great game, especially after that Colts-Chiefs circus yesterday.  Great win by the 49ers.

Wow what a nail biter
Liked how the Refs let the WR/CB's play, but didn't like the blatent holding against the 49ers defense. That Rogers 4th down play only happened because of that hold. But other than that, a great game that wasn't heavily officiated for once!

Nothing.  But when the niners did, they were called for roughing the passer, or illegal hit to the head. (Can't recall the penalty).

Slugfest in Carolina today. Lots of bad blood. Boldin needs to be careful on his mouthing off.

When they went down by 13, Cam looked lime he'd already conceded defeat.

I think my favorite possible outcome storyline for the SB right now would be Pete Carroll vs. New England.
