Since the Seahawks fever seems to be spilling over into Vancouver -the most Seahawk jerseys I've seen here in ages- I've decided to follow and cheer for the Hawks this season. I'll split my football viewing between them and my CFL team -BC Lions- who despite a respectable 7-4 record are struggling a bit; star QB pooched his shoulder last weekend.  icon_frown  If I follow a NFL team it's either the Hawks or Packers, so this isn't something completely out of the blue.

So...as to todays Jaguars vs Hawks game; do the Jaguars really have chance? I know we get unexpected upsets in the CFL, but that's the nature of a league with some built in parity.

I know it was only against the Cardinals, but the Saints D of last year would have let them get all kinds of offense and they seem to be much better this year.  The Saints also looked much better than last week when they seemed determined to let Tampa Bay win the game.

Kaepernick through 27 times in the game and something like 10 in the first half while it was still close.  That's not a big number.

Giving 8 sacks is more like it.

Losing to a team that gave up ONE HUNDRED AND SIXTY-EIGHT yards in penalties.

Still have a better points differential than SF though!  Tongue

Really ugly, but we beat a good team, on the road, with 3 O-linemen out and a 4th out of position. I really hope Unger is back soon.

God damn it, none of the local networks carried that game today here in Canuckistan so I missed it! I'm impressed they beat the Texans even if it took OT. Go Hawks go!   thumbsup

I just love the way they toy with your emotions, Teggy.

Looking at the schedule, I can easily see you taking the division at 9-7.  It's much more fun when you lose in the first week of the playoffs.  It makes the local talk radio tears that much sweeter.  It's always fun when the radio guys are comparing Romo to a steaming pile of dog excrement on the postgame show.

Definitely enjoyed that Saints win over the Dolphins.  Still very concerned to see how much Brees is getting sacked this year.  It's definitely the key to putting the Saints offense on hold.  Defense had some great takeaways.  So different than last year.

In Detroit, this is what we call a tease.  They look good, win a few, play decent in losses and slowly build up your desire to believe that yes, just maybe this could be the year they turn the corner.  then BAM!!!!!!  6 game losing streak and the season is in tatters.   icon_twisted

Close, but no cigar for the Seahawks. Oh man, if that kick block in the 1st half could only have been recovered 1 yard more into the end zone! I still really enjoyed that game and that loss was so much better than the 31-17 shit kick'en my CFL team took Friday night. Great game and a good win by the Colts.

Freaking Romo - makes himself look like a stud then chokes again when it counts.

Romo is a good NFL QB with above average skills but he is also the king of the late game collapse.  He has thrown 23 fourth quarter INT's in his career and they generally end up bad for him.  In fact the last 8 games that he has thrown a 4th quarter INT are all losses and six of those by less than 7 points.   With those kind of credentials I am amazed that he doesnt play for the Lions.

Niners win!  That was very reminiscent of Alex Smith led team.  Relied on the running game and defense to get the win.  Wow, CK only had 113 yards passing.  Can't wait till our WR's get healthy.

Missed all of the games, but given what I've heard on the talk radio this morning, it sounds like a close game lost by stupid plays and some questionable calls.

Looks like the Vikings are trying to do something about their lack of an NFL QB and signed Josh Freeman.    I think its a good move for both sides, he has shown he can be a good NFL QB and just needed to get out of TB.   And the Vikings need to get as far away as possible from Cassill or Ponder as their starting QB.

Since I live in Denver, the Broncos are my adopted 2nd string (on the rare occasions the Saints play the Broncos, I cheer for the Saints).  I watched that game mad that the Broncos allowed Romo to put up that many yards on them, but earlier in the game I told my wife...it's okay, he'll pull a Romo.  And he did.

Saints game was fairly low-scoring, but the Bears usually have a good defense, so it could be expected.  I didn't think about it until the announcer mentioned it, but the Saints D hasn't allowed more than 17 points per game all season.  What an amazing turnaround Rob Ryan has done for that team.

Best NFL headline from yesterday: Enver beats Allas in a game with no D

Pleasantly surprised at the Raiders pulling out another win, which makes one more than I thought we'd get all season.
