We went and picked out our goldendoodle puppy yesterday.  She's cute as hell.

We named her Ruby.  Now we have to wait 3 weeks to pick her up. frown

Very cool! No puppies here, but we did break down on an impulse buy at the pet store the other day for our first pet. Still need some good photos, but we picked up a couple Robo Dwarf Hamsters. We don't see them as much as would be nice since they're nocturnal, but they're soooo freakin cute. (These are the smallest hamsters you can buy, grow to 2" max).

Nice looking dog!

I picked up a Jack Russell adult from the pound that was on death row the other day. Great dog and even a better feeling knowing I saved a life.

So cute.  Goldendoodle is golden retriever + poodle?  If so, why doodle?  Why not Goldenpoodle?

I think because the original ones were Labrador-Poodles, or Labradoodles... it got carried over.  Supposed to be incredible dogs, and from what I've seen, that seems to be true...

I made a longer one... when I'm stuffed up post cold and talking to something cute, I've found I sound idiotic... so I put music over it.

She is damned cute. Congrats!

One word of caution...I saw she was mouthing your family's fingers at times in the video. Don't let her get away with that for too long! I let my Great Pyrenees do that for the first 3-4 weeks that I had her, and now I'm having a horrible time getting her to stop. And considering that she is growing at ~4-5 lbs per week, that mouth and those teeth are becoming a hassle.....

bot of my puppies did that.  the oldest, who was pretty young when I got here, was easy to teach not to do that by me letting out a high pitched yelp whenever she started doing it.  the other though was about 5 months old and required a mix of the yelp plus the occasional holding of his lower jaw- I held it gently but firmly when he continued the nipping and he learned fairly easily that I wasn't his chew toy.

Super cute! Love the name, too.

You should use your talking-to-dog when you're on stage next time. Panties galore, I predict!

I'll be curious to hear how she grows up. I love our pure Golden to death, but I have heard that the poodle side really decreases the shedding. On the other hand, I've also heard they amp up the energy a bit. She's adorable, have fun!
