As most of us will be traveling for the holidays, my wife and I exchanged our gifts last night with each other and with our friends. My haul so far includes: Official Phillies Baseball Hat Eagles Sideline Performance Shirt Assorted DVDs (The Fighter, Despicable Me, X-Men: First Class, Transformers: Dark of the Moon, and 9) Batman: Arkham City Two sweaters (mainly for holidays in Pittsburgh) Another missed Dallas field goal Oh, almost forgot our annual tin of the best effing cookies ever from my aunt. But the gift that stood out the most? A Donut Maker. It was due to a random comment I made about how much fun it would be to make homemade donuts while I was paging through the Williams and Sonoma catalog. Apparently that comment stuck with our friends and they got the very donut maker I saw in the catalog. There goes the diet.

We bought a new car, so that's xmas for my wife and I.
Tonight my wife and I agreed to stop trying to invent things that we want, and instead pool our money for something we really need. She's pushing for a microwave oven. I'm lobbying for a vacuum cleaner.

I scored HUGE getting the awesomest thing in the universe. A Charles Woodson Acme Packers jersey. Got some Packer slippers that are super comfy, too. Now, I just need the Pack to take care of the Bears Xmas night and it will be a perfect holiday.
The real gift, though, is just hanging with my family and getting fat (ter) and watching football and movies.

What are we? Chopped liver? If you hang out here, we're your friends. Even CeeKay. I mentioned in hardware/software hell I think, my mom let me pick out the MS XBox 360 Wireless Controller for Windows, and the Logitech G300 Gaming Mouse. The latter has gradually proven very useful in SWTOR. The controller I wanted to try in Renegade Ops and War in the North, to see if it worked better for me than the Logitech PS type controller I was using. I've also read it can be juryrigged for use in SWTOR's space combat stuff, so I look forward to that. We have family Xmas stuff in the afternoon, though I didn't put any more games on my wish list. I still haven't played some of the stuff they got me years ago, including a couple C&C games (C&C4, Red Alert 2).

I think I have officially transitioned into "old man" territory this year. Christmas consisted of:
- A heating pad, mainly for my back - Gift cards for 3 massages (again, for the bad back) - 3 new polo shirts - Underwear - A few movies (Slumdog Millionaire, Fargo, Invictus) - Money towards the new router and wireless card I'll need when my office moves downstairs
In-laws are coming later this afternoon, so there might be something a little bit fun in there.
