The newest addition to the family, and the big man holding her is yours truly. You look surprisingly healthy for the horrific images you must have just endured. As is the case with this picture, I found another picture of Kobra. Masked again...

Here's my latest, very un-rocking Guitar Hero pic: We had to be kinda quiet because my little nephew had just woken up (bro is holding him on my left): It was highly amusing to watch him get all but hypnotised by the scrolling notes in GH. Damn near put him into a trance!

BIG +1 to how your guitar strap is...I've seen SOOOO many pictures with people "TOTALLY ROCKING OUT" and looking ridiculous with a messed up strap. Well done, good sir. Well done.

I suppose I didn't really need the strap since I was sitting down, but old habits die hard. I acutally beat CFH on Expert for the first time that night (after about 100 insanely frustrating tries), but we weren't in career mode so it didn't count. I'll admit that rocking out is pretty fun (Mrs. Gratch has had many a laugh at my expense while I played), but I find I play much better when I'm sitting down. The particular angle I have on the TV causes it to look really dark when standing up.

Guitar Hero man...AWAY!!!! It's the dog's food dish. Having it raised a bit supposedly helps him to not swallow as much air when he eats, and is supposed to make him less gassy. It doesn't work. On the plus side, I still get to blame it on the dog.

I always admire people with the balls to post their photos on a public forum realising the fact that most people aren't super models or movie stars, just normal folk.
This would be the first time I publically posted any picture of myself, being a tin-hat paranoid type. But my face is well enough masked that nobody would be able to recognize me IRL anyway.
I am still waiting for Ron's picture though.

you know whats funny about a thread like this too.........
it's almost like that song you grew up listening to, to only learn years later you were singing the wrong lyrics.
i almost don't want to see some of these pictures because it ruins the image i've had all this time.

This was taken yesterday at the NYC Century ride.
How'd it go? I tend not to crosspost, but since you asked, here's a repost of my ride report from that other forum: I woke up at 3am to get down to Central Park by 5:30 to pick up my bib. We kicked off right at 6. Only 1 near-death experience with a car that was turning really slowly and looked like it was stopping to let me go, but wasn't..missed my back wheel by inches. And I nearly ran over a couple of pedestrians who couldn't walk straight and were weaving all over the place. The ride had a lot of stopping and starting, plus sections of sand, mud, huge puddles (the width of the path and 10-12 feet across, a section on dirt (which sucked and I nearly wiped out, but managed to recover as my bike was sliding sideways out from under met), a section over a trench cut into the road about 4 inches deep and two feet wide..that was fun. Oh, and I should mention the stairs. Yep..for the Triboro bridge, we had to haul our bikes up a couple of flights of stairs to get the the bridge level before we could ride. I ended up having a leg cramp at about mile 30, but pushed on to the next rest stop and massaged it and stretched and it seemed to go away. But at about mile 65, the same leg cramped up. Again, it was only about 5 miles to the next stop so I pushed on. It was really painful and tight and made it hard to pedal. So at the mile 71 rest stop, I called it quits. There was a shorter route (the 35 mile route) that went back to the start from that point, so I jumped onto that path and rode the 7 miles back to the start. So 78 miles altogether. We were riding between 17 and 20 mph, but my average at the end was only 14.3 (because of all of the stopping and starting). I did pass my old apartment in Brooklyn. We rode right in front of it. That was kind of cool. Oh, and my folks came out to the Bayside Marina to see me, and I saw them and stopped and they took pictures. That was nice too. That was about mile 60. Come to think of it, that might be why I cramped up again. It was shortly after that. Hmm.

I'm still thinking about it... the tin foil on my head hasn't been working well lately, so the beams may get through and I may actually decide to do it... I am encouraged by the number of redheads on the forum though!
