The Movie stars Anton Yelchin as Odd Thomas(he played Chekov in the new Star Trek films) and Willem Dafoe as Police Chief Wyatt Porter

I have just finished the book by Dean Koontz(first of many of his 'Odd' books),and it was okay,I have ordered the second book,i did not see the two leads from the film when reading the book however,i actually saw Ed Norton from Fight Club as Odd Thomas...but each his own i guess


The film is directed by Stephen Sommers(The Mummy,Van Helsing)

Release date is a bit vague right now,because there is a big lawsuit about marketing and publicity,so there are no actual details,except rumours that it will be out in the Fall(or maybe August 15th  )

I read that one Koontz book about time travel where the kid kept shouting "Paradox!"  Lightning, maybe?  Never tried another after that.

Dean Koontz's best work is Watchers.  He has some other good ones, but lately in the last 3-5 years he's become more like Stephen King and being wordy just because he can.

I only read one Koontz book, the one about that doll that becomes a monster.

Didn't like it, so never bothered with his other works. Too surreal.
