If you are left to survive whatever the apocalypse is, what would your preference for said apocalypse be? Why?

Sounds like the best deal for someone living in Norway. Individual towns/cities would get more isolated, but apart from that, most things would remain the same. We don't use gas for our electricity, bicycles are great for short-distance transport, and there's enough farms, hunting terrain and sea around to keep just about everyone fed. Unless I misunderstand what this apocalypse actually is. I must admit I never saw the sequel(s ?) to Mad Max, so I didn't get into the reasons for why things were the way they were.

Assuming I survive and am not immediately stricken with cancer, Nuclear war seems to be the way to go. As long as you could get to an area that was free of radiation, you should be able to live a fairly normal life. In all the other cases, you're either going to be constantly looking over your shoulder (for zombies or machines  or some infected dude) or have to deal with crazy new elements (waterworld, the years of darkness accompanying am asteroid strike,, etc.).

LOL. I'm not sure that what you have described qualifies. Perhaps the opening narrative for road warrior will help frame the situation better though I find the idea of all of Norway just brushing it off as no big deal while the rest of the world falls apart hilarious.

And became a shell of a man, a burnt out, desolate man, a man haunted by the demons of his past, a man who wandered out into the wasteland. And it was here, in this blighted place, that he learned to live again...

Traditional zombie bites most likely, but the extra weight may slow YOU down and let them gang up on you.. they could probably get though the chainmail at some point then...
But what does it matter? Do you even have a head to toe chainmail set? if not you'd be out of luck anyway.. I'm pretty sure Walmart doesn't carry them...
