The most famous phobia on the boards, methinks would be Kato's fear of spiders. Second to that would be hepcat's fear of being funny. What about you? Heights? Fat people? Germs? Or do you have any OCD type tendencies or personality quirks?

Only OCD I can think of is if there is a panel of 2 or more light switches they have to be in the same position when I leave a room. Even if it means I have to go to the other side of the room and flip the light on/off to make them match- or walk up a staircase in the dark.  This holds true at the steps to my basement where we have a bank of 4 switches. Two are three way (one for the light on the steps, the other for lights in the room) and I can't go upstairs unless they're all matching.

I don't have any phobias, but I'm pretty squeamish when it comes to teeth (my kids losing theirs 'daddy look how it turns almost all the way around!' is horrific),  parasites (have you seen the picture of the frog with a worm in its eye?  'tarded!), and public bathroom use (I'm a stall man).

The Year is 1992,I am 16 years old,the Scene is Greece it is hot as hell,i have already had Sunstroke twice in one week and had scabs all over my legs and back, but whatever,i am still enjoying myself(apart from the puking and shivering).

In the middle of the Mediterranean Sea I am Parasailing and i am enjoying it,however when it's time to end,the man in the speedboat turns off his engine and i fall quite a height into the water(we are well out to sea)and as i plunged pretty deep into the water,i opened my eyes and saw endless blue all around me,front of me,below me,behind me....It scared the living bejesus out of me,I can't explain the anxiety i got at that point, perhaps i was thinking how many monsters could fit all around me,i don't know, but it had a big impact on me.

I always cringe when i see deep underwater ocean blue of nothingness on TV,yeah Jaws has some good examples(maybe that's just the 50ft shark though),The Abyss also but if anybody has seen Master And Commander, that guy who committed suicide by jumping overboard with the cannonball...yup,that made me cringe as you saw him fall underwater.

so I am not even sure what it would be called, just the fear of the open underwater blue sea..not a fear of water as i am fine at the swimming baths, and i am a good swimmer..its just that endless blue

I am deathly afraid of heights. If I am near a high ledge (like on a building) I am holding the railing incredibly tight. Don't like to go near big open windows up high in case they fall out or something. Also have to hold on hard to my keys because I get this urge to throw them over, especially if I'm walking over a bridge. I don't like to feel like I am moving at an uncontrollable speed (like a rollercoaster), but I think that is related to heights/falling.

I have had some OCD-ish tendencies, such as really liking to make sure switches make a satisfying click when I turn them on. Sometimes I'll turn the light back off and on or push up on the switch if I'm not satisfied. But it's something I've been very aware of for a long time (since I was a kid) and I'm pretty good at ignoring the feeling and just moving on so I've never had to ask a doctor about it or anything. Happens pretty rarely these days.

You mean other than sock puppets?

One of my more interesting quirks is if I have garbage in 1 hand and laundry in the other - laundry goes in the bin and garbage in the wash. PRO plays.

I jump out of airplanes, scuba qualified (but not since 2005), lizards/snakes are cool, I eat my veggies, and I rocket jump for fun. Why the hell do spiders freak me out so much? Even if its a damn spider in a movie or video game it still creeps me out.
My first time I trained as a scout in 1995 I failed because I couldn't keep it together as 2 or 3 spiders were crawling on my face, hand, and neck. I was almost demoted during a deployment because I shot at a camel spider.
If I see one of those fuckers crawling around the house I either go to my happy place and ignore it or I have to call my wife to kill it. Embarrassing and irrational.

I like my bed made.  Rephrase... I need my bed made.  I am lucky that my gf is super tidy and always makes the bed when she gets up in the morning (I leave before her), but just to be sure I do remake most of the bed around her as she sleeps...

When served a plate of french fries, I line them up so that they're all parallel.

I stack potato chips neatly, by size. First I eat the broken ones, then the rest from smallest to largest.

I don't know how Normals can live oblivious to chaotic potato products, but I try to fit in when I'm out in public.

Those that can, do.  Those that can't practice bestiality with a Llama named Steve.  How's Steve doing, by the way?

My little issue with OCD manifests itself as a need to post things twice.

That and Spiders Tongue

I had nearly this exact same experience when we went parasailing in Hawaii a couple years ago.  My wife had to pretty much talk me out of a panic attack when we landed in the water.

+1 on the spiders as well.  Mrs Gratch has to kill them in our house.
