http://www.sherdog.com/news/news/Overeem-Lesnar-Slated-for-Dec-30-in-Las-Vegas-35362I know there are giant fights coming in then next 45 days, but this is heyooge: Lesnar jumping into deep waters upon his return. If he didn't like getting punched in the face by Cain, I wonder how he'll like being mangled by a top tier kick boxer. It will look a lot like the Velasquez fight and end the same way: Overeem by KO/TKO in round one.

<shakes head at would might have been if Fedor had just signed with the UFC, taken the immediate title shot against Lesnar and won that match>

This should be a good fight. If Overeem can't stop Lesnar from taking him down, Lesnar will G&P his way to another win.

Let's hope he knows the secret to stopping Bald Bull's charge. It's essentially the same thing.

I don't know if it would have changed much. Even if Fedor beat Lesnar, I think Caine or Junior would have beaten him for the title anyway. 2 years ago Fedor vs Lesnar was the dream match up. Now it looks like they both look pretty beatable. Fedor more than Lesnar. If Lesnar can improve his stand up, he can still be a force. I'm not sure what Fedor does to be relevant again.

I'll give credit for Lesner going against the top from pretty much the beginning, but its shown more and more how he is still just not that polished of a fighter.

That's been rumored since well before this fight/retirement. Originally it was for a one-off at Wrestlemania sometime; who knows what it'll be now.

He's been really sick for two years. I wonder if his body can even take the pounding of WWF anymore.

Good question. Though he's got enough cache that he can work a reduced schedule a la Shawn Michaels or the Undertaker.
