I'm not paying for the additional speed through my provider, so that's pretty much as fast as it goes.

I need my mlb thread so I can cry about Harvey. OMG I hate sports frown

I saw that and thought of the MLB thread too. That sucks. But hey - at least you got some results out of Harvey this season before the injury. We got nothing out of Dylan Bundy before he went down. (Of course he'll be back sooner, I guess). Bleh.

Crucial stretch for the Os. Boston, then NY, then Cleveland. And doesn't get much better after that...
The problem is that he will probably be out all of NEXT season. I was excited about next season and now I'm just back into the screw it mood. I seriously give up, the Mets just have the worst f'n luck.

Sorry to hear that Octavious, I know how I would feel if that happened to Scherzer this season.  I feel your pain, man.

Would someone please remind me of the Facebook name for OO? I've been looking and can't seem to find it. Know I've joined up but despite my searches, I'm coming up empty handed.

It appears to be more like "had" a Facebook presence.

If anyone is looking for something to do, may I suggest starting up a FB page?

What would one put on an OO Facebook page?  I don't use Facebook, but it seems to me it works best when there is a centralized power/leader.  That would not seem to describe us.  smile

Centralized power leader doesn't even compute in regards to OO  icon_razz

Some of us have a routine down with FB being a stop. I hadn't gone to OO FB Lane in several months but w the website being down, figured I would visit.

Pls don't read as bitchy. As I reread, I could see the lack of causal tone and girly smackin' of gum while reading lost.

You nailed the reason for the tumbleweeds in that group...no one, including me, could figure out why, or justify a reason for its existence with the OO forums up and running.   I guess it was more of an attempt to marry a real person with their on screen OO persona.

A highly successful attempt obviously.   biggrin

Not sure how that happened.  I just looked at the member list and it (was) null, but when the group was created in Jan 2009, there were at least 60 IIRC.

Side note now that I go back and read the old posts - its creation was also partly fueled by the desire to "add" Mafia members (that weren't complete strangers) to my Mafia Wars addiction, and you can see some other FB gamers on there asking to be added, etc.  Only for those who want to of course.

I let my wife sucker me into playing Candy Crush, then deleted it after about 70 or 80 levels...as it was starting to get silly at that point, and obviously needing some in app purchases to continue (without banging your head against the wall at least).

Pretty slick game, I will give them that, but there are SO many other good match 3 games out there...funny that this is the "break out" one that the masses prefer.

Perhaps during a FB upgrade, change y thing the person who started up the group didn't click something. Never the less I'm finding it helpful to get through the day with the FB group, let alone GT for not locking the thread with us users using it  slywink  Thank you.

That would be me, but I never got a notification or email saying that I needed to click something, else I would have.  And I'm pretty e-mail...diligent let's say.

I think it's more a case of an inactive group over the span of X number of FB upgrades in 5 years, the member lists from old groups probably wasn't ported over well, or however it works...

Since we're all friends here and the NFL season is starting soon, are any of you GTers interested in joining us for a little foosball prognostication competitioning?  For those not familiar, it's an every-game pick-em pool that runs all season long.  Cheap to enter, hours of fun.

If more than one or two are interested, I could conceivably add an 'average GTer vs OOer score' to my usual stats in order to add a little site-to-site funnage.

Anyway, if you're intereted, say so here and I'll PM details.

I wouldn't sweat the weather. "Chance of thunderstorms" is in nearly every August day's forecast. They're usually brief when they materialize at all. Enjoy your visit.

One host on our class C (254 host) subnet just came up, but not ours.

I hesitate to allow a little cautious optimism.
