Both places require that you update your profile settings. Here, it's an offset number, OO has a DST in effect checkbox. Go to the Profile button up top, click on Look and Layout Preferences on the left, then hit auto-detect next to the Time Offset box. And I'm quoting Miltonite since he hit the bottom of the last page: Well it is not only FishPants that cant get a hold of Rip there are others here in Louisiana that can't either. It is not just OO that is down, everything on that server is down which is more important to the company than OO is. I was also told that e-mail over there is not working as well.
Also, we are good down here in LA no storms or unnatural cold snaps. Just a failure in technology.

Only reason I would be against it is that some people wouldn't want to move and we would lose some of my fav. posters. It doesn't make sense to me but I know that will happen. I just can't understand why a message board would totally crap out so much.
Beat a dead horse much? It's been a long time since there's been issues; and unfortunately I haven't been able to get a hold of Rip to figure out what's going on but I'm sure he's on it. For what it's worth I have a relatively recent (late October) offsite backup of the site; and we haven't had any issues since the server had been migrated to the new platform. Instead of bitching about OO, it may be worth considering that if the problem is widespread it's actually affecting Rip's livelihood. Anyhow I've got to get to more meetings  afterwards if it isn't up I will drop him a line and find out what's going on. Obviously the message board really isn't important at all in the grand scheme of things but I need something to complain about! I do hope everything is okay it's just kind of bringing back bad memories of the last time. Over macho grande? No, I'll never get over macho grande.. |

Hm, FishPants not being able to get hold of Rip is more worrying to me than OO being down, and him not posting here is also. Just hope all is well, and if it is, I'm sure OO will be back up soon.
Just because all the migrations I am doing has my exchange server down as well. I am still alive and even off my crutches now. |

Relax this isn't even anywhere near as big a problem as the infamous OOtage. There isn't even a problem with OO itself. just the server it is on so I am expediting the plan to move it to a new server purchased by the SUPER DUPER OO Staff. Everyone just go play the L4D2 demo for a few hours and all will be back. |

Hey guys this is Arcanis not Miltonite, I don't have a GT account and he just sent me his info so I can update you guys.
Rip is out of town today so he won't be able to do much to work on OO but I'm working on it right now. I saw it was down and had to rerun the setup script for VMware. The OO VM is currently booting up now, but is moving slowly through the boot process. The server hosting VMware was dragging as well when i was working on it earlier this morning as well. Once i know something concrete to tell you guys I'll post an update in here.

Server is 'up' but I still have yet to get a web page to open with it. Seems it is having processing issues, page isn't timing out and every other ping is almost a second and I'm only about 30 feet from the box. If any of the admins want to try and get it and see what they can do feel free it should be available via your normal connection methods. I have more fires popping up here at work so i can't devote my day to working on just OO right now.

Ok some background updates running and it goes faster if I don't have the DB and Webserver online; even then it's not going fast. I'll post more details when I can figure out what the hell the bottle neck is (All health indicators on the server actually show it isn't taxed at all.. so something weird is definitely up).
Arcanis, please email me when you get a chance; want to ask a few questions about the ESX setup.
