Edit: OO also seems to have had very few posts today, so I wonder if the access issue is more widespread that might be thought.  Anyway, I'm guessing that maybe something happened related to the issues in Louisianna and that the net hasn't fully updated, causing problems.

I've stopped worrying about it.  Lately when I try to go over there I just don't feel the same connection I used to have.  GamingTrend feels more like "home", and while I may read a thread or two over at OO, I feel like I "know" more people here and fit into the community better.  OO just doesn't feel as familiar anymore.  Although I will head over to keep tabs on Zaxxon's football pool and to communicate with Dogstar about fantasy football, but other than that GamingTrend has pretty much become my primary forum.  And that has nothing to do with Knightshade's wife's fondue.

I think this is the difference between a site hosted for free and a site which is paid for.  If OO was paying it wouldn't settle for the kind of service Rip gives, but he is very generous to offer the bandwidth, server space, etc.  It is probably pretty good for free.

it's not generating revenue for anyone (as far as I know) so I don't think anyone's losing sleep over any SLA's for the site.  It's just a group of friends who get together to gab about games and pick on each other, so a little outage here and there ain't no big thing.
