MHS, et al,
You are all welcome to join us aboard the yacht while we wait.  We don't have as many folks as the raft does, but we do have shrimp and steak and the like.

I had the strangest dream. Gt and OO merged and became www.Gtoo.com. Then I singed on  to GT and it like I am in the twilight Zone.  eek

I haven't read the whole thread, but I'm another OO refugee. Any news from the front, Rip?

I normally only lurk/occasionally post in the PC Games forum on OO, so I expect I'm going to do the same here at least until OO goes back online... Good to see some familiar faces (avatars) here, as well as some new ones (Daehawk, what happened to the knights?)

Dude, I have no idea how you ended up on the raft.  I just know they were talking about eating you and you then made a mess of the mouthpiece.  Not an action I wanted to be part of, thanks.

Why don't I get to be on the raft?  Is it a boys-only raft?
If it is a boys only raft I'm getting off.  I'll swim to the nearest island.  After all, they are talking all about this "go down" option and about "eating CeeKay" icon_eek

dammit!  that'll teach me to read the boards while talking on the phone and sipping my drink.  Now I have to get Squirt out of the mouthpiece  icon_lol

Lemme get this straight: you got squirt on your mouthpiece? :say_what:

Ron, arm the cannons... I don't want that raft landing on our sandy shores.

(The PBS Narrator continues telling the fall of Octopus Island)

It's Day 8, and the raft survivors, pushed to the very limit with hunger, have made a dire unthinkable decision...

(hepcat, PR_GMR, Zaxxon, Fellstrike, Yellowking, and Miltonite sit on the bobbing raft. Ceekay is no longer among them. Their clothes are covered in blood and grue.)

hepcat: That was some good eating!

Yellowking: Amen! That quiet down my stomach.

Fellstrike: He looked like he was about to die anyways... malnutritioned.. I think we were mercyful and put him out of his misery.

Miltonite: He didn't go quietly though. Mass-kicking a man to death was perhaps not the most humane--

PR_GMR: It's best we don't think about it longer.

Zaxxon: What have we done! We have lost our Civilization. And I don't mean the excellent PC game (all the men grunt and nod their heads in agreement).. We have become savages!

(No sooner Zaxxon finishes the sentence, he picks up the sole remaining left leg of Ceekay and takes a big, hearty bite off it. Zaxxon burps loudly.)

(A splashing sound is heard from the water. The men turn to it)

(Remus West, dbt1949, tgb, and Chaosraven are all swimming in the water)

PR_GMR: Hey! Over here.. come over here. These waters are shark infested!

Remus West: Are there any women in the raft? If not, No, we don't have any part of your raft.

Fellstrike: That's fine, then. Let them drown!

Miltonite: We can't let a fellow OO brother down! We must convince them to join us.

hepcat: I know what to do! Hey, Remus.. We can all play a nice werewolf forum game if you come on.

(Remus turns to Chaosraven, who nods in approval)

Remus West: Fair enough. We're coming aboard. Make space.

(A growing, water-shredding sound comes near. All the men turn to see a ship!.... A pirate ship)

Yellowking: We are saved!

(The ship stops next to the refugees. A couple of figures appear on the deck, peering down at the refugees. It's Grundbegriff along with his evil cohort, Austin. They're both dressed in full pirate regalia, but Austin's dress is particularly puffy and ridiculous)

Grundbegriff: Oh, looke here. Filthy, uncivilized OOers! Bring them aboard, Austin. We need some entertainment.

Austin: Aye, aye Cptn!

(A woman's voice can be heard behind evil Grund and Austin. It's MHS!)

MHS: Please, please save me! They've taken me captive! Help!

Yellowking: I don't think we're saved

hepcat: I think we're (expletive)!

dbt: (holds up a large picture of Leslie Nielsen)

tgb: They wouldn't harm a jew!

(Zaxxon continues to feed on ravenously on Ceekay's left leg)

To Be Continued...

As I was trying to say, welcome aboard gentle..., uh, fol..., fello...guys?  If everyone of the male persuasion, uh, hmmm.  If you would, uh, hmmm.   Anyone that I can't tell is female please move to the bow for refreshments and delousing.

Well, as a sometime surfer, I would have to say it sounds like a board slicing quickly through a wave.  If it is happening around me I would hazzard a guess it is accompanied by the muttered phrase "Oh shit" depending upon the size of said wave and my positioning on it.

from Herr CeeKay's notes:

Day 8 of the experiment had the subjects on the raft turn violent towards 'one' of their own.  It appears I was wise not to place myself into the experiment- using a stand in saved my life.  I had Kelric go in mys stead, filled with promises of endless kegs of beer and a one night stand with Kiera Knightley and Scarlett Johanson.  Alas, poor Kelric, he fed them well. I shall have to keep a close watch upon the one called 'Zaxxon', as he seemed to eat most of Kelric, but the one I have labeled 'PR_GMR' (the one I have previously noted as resembling the game developer Derek Smart) also seemed to be rejoicing over the 'Rocky Mountain Oysters'.  Perhaps they would have not so quickly eaten Kelric had they realized the destructive capacity of the one called 'Yellowking'.

The second test group has been released into the wild, and the mensch I placed amongst them as the control subject seems to be holding up.  Now to follow the groups reaction to my two lackeys, Mr. A & Mr. G.  I directed them to dress up as pirates, but Mr. A appears to be more of a Fop.  Perhaps Mr. G can straighten out his plank before they return to Hydra Station, but first they have to introduce the newest variable into my experiment.

So there's a raft, a yacht, and I'm on neither! Figures.. Just leave the refugee Canadian alone with that f'ing snake on his face. WTF!

I'm going to go get in a really long hospital waiting line to have this thing removed.

P.S. I'm in Boston with my family right now for an impromptu american vacation. Any suggestions on "must do's" that are family friendly (No whores!).  Today we did Childrens museum, shopping up at Macy's (and around it) downtown.. Tomorrow Aquarium, Sunday whale watching (My daughter thinks that means getting on a boat, really I mean "go to the tex-mex buffet".. Hope she gets the joke).

Now here's a feature I'm really glad OO doesn't have: With the prosilver theme, I see the total time that I've spent logged in on this board in the upper left corner. Three hours and 32 minutes here is nothing -- two movies. My OO total would probably add up to every movie I've ever seen.
