OJ might have really screwed up.

Is he really, really this dumb? After beating the rap for nearly decapitating his wife, I hope he did do this, gets found guilty of armed robbery, and has to serve 20 years

"He had my stuff"

Then, dim bulb, you call the F'n police.  They detain him and search his belongings on a warrant.

You do not hire a thug squad to break and enter, and possibly spearhead the operation yourself if you mean to not face charges.

A friend had a printout of the book.  Strangely enough... they mention an eyewitness, who was (according to the book) the owner of the knife.  He was named Joe, and was a friend of OJ.  Any guesses on who that was?  It may have even been explained in the book, but I just read that part.

No gory bits, the book claims OJ kind of blacked out, looked around, and saw dead bodies laying around.

Oooo, good one.  If caught cheating, just say you blacked out, looked around and there was another naked body laying around.  Kind of on top or beneath, not exactly sure due to the blackout and wooziness.

BTW, he's been arrested. Queue nonstop media circus in 3...2...1.

According to one news report, he even said that he thought what happened in Vegas stayed in Vegas.

Yes, he is that stupid...

Now he has to pray he doesn't get a judge or jury who believes he killed his wife, or those charges surely will end up running consecutively.  paranoid

Well, that shouldn't be too tough.  After all, nobody believes he killed his wife.

I'm not sure if that is true, though.  When the decision was originally handed down, opinions as to it's validity were widely separated along racial lines.  I'm not sure if that is still the case - but, at the time (ages ago, of course) - there was a huge disparity in beliefs between African Americans and Caucasians who were polled on the issue.

Anyone know if this is still true?  icon_confused

That's not exactly true.  Just because they were happy to see the "justice" system fail spectacularly, especially in a case which infuriated the same people who delude themselves into thinking the system works fine, doesn't mean they honestly believed OJ was innocent.

Um, yeah, Ike, I knew you were being sarcastic, because I know "everyone" believes that everyone believes that OJ did it.  I was just wondering if it was still true that, as polled just after the decision, the African American community doesn't all believe it.

That's what I was saying, though: I don't think a majority of those "supporting" OJ gave an honest answer to the people taking the poll.  I think they were just happy to mess with the poll's results.

And actually, when you think about it, OJ wasn't exactly embraced by the African American community after the case.  Nobody invited him to speak on "his ordeal", or tried helping find the "real killer", etc.

It doesn't matter whether or not OJ did it if they can't convict him of it.
