God...damn it. The bitches who clean the office here have gone too far.
Yesterday, a slice of cake was left for me for my overnight shift. That was awful nice of the guys to do that for me. I worked through my shift and when I went to go eat lunch, I find that the cleaning ladies had eaten it.
Today, I put my lunch in the fridge. There is absolutely nobody here but me...and them. They rummage the fridge and my lunch is gone.
I'd yell at them but they don't speak English at all. This is just out of hand...

It's a sad fact of life that you can't leave food laying around at the work place, it'll get eaten by someone.

See, now you have every reason to learn Spanish just so you can curse them out. Or at least learn a few 'select' words. Even better, it gives you a reason to purchase a fridge on the company's payroll. Get a nice big one right behind your desk and stock it full with goodies.

Hey KD, how's it going? Listen, uh, we've had some complaints about the food you bring in to work. It seems to be giving our cleaning crew an upset stomach. Something about meatloaf not tasting right. So if you could not bring snacks with you to work, that'd be great. Mmmmkay?

Where I work, we have to put pad locks on our fridge. Now it's so annoying when you have to get something out of it. And what's worse, we work for the CHP, of all places!

i was stuck on-call at the hospital on my birthday this past thursday night. one of the people i work with was nice enough to bring in a cake that we all enjoyed for lunch though. there was about a third of it left after lunch and i was planning to go back for some more after dinner...but it was all gone when i got there. i guess the nurses on the floor saw cake and assumed it was for them...scraped the pan clean, not even leaving any of the chocolate icing around the edges...

Somebody ate another persons lunch where I worked last year. The victim sent a nasty accusatory e-mail to everybody at our domain. Hilarity insued.
I just wish the people I worked with would throw their shit away or take it home instead of leaving crap in the fridge to rot. It's disgusting and just piles up until somebody goes through and throws everything out.
Then again, it's better than the Thanksgiving meal we had for lunch on Wednesday that was still sitting on the table when I left on Friday. Worse yet, people were still eating parts of it. Ugh.

I've always wanted someone to start eating things I left around, because I've always wanted to spike food with exlax or something worse.
I mean the solution to my dilemma would then be obvious I think?

A buddy of mine in high school was having his lunch stolen every day for a week or so. Naturally, something had to be done, so he came to me. The obvious solution - we poisoned him. About 1/3 to 1/2 of a bottle of syrup of ipacec to one bottle of Pepsi did the trick.
You know when they say somebody was "green around the gills?" We went to check out the thief in the nurse's office. He actually was green. That was the first time I poisoned somebody.

Oh for CRYING OUT LOUD?! These withered bitches are eating the pizza my boss brought in for the team. They left me a few slices and its long gone now!
Ya know what? The next time my boss brings pizza I'm lacing it with ExLax. There is a chemical that is clear and tasteless...just can't recall the name. I've really had it here. Yea, its just pizza, but WTF?!

Its a clear liquid. I recall that it was used in a brownie mix at my high school way back when....half the staff had the 'day off' on Friday.

Put a lock on the fridge. It cn be off during the day shift and locked before they leave.Make sure night shift has access ot key.Or maybe CC camera. The camera doesn't even have to be real as long as the cleaners think it is and it's highly visible.

I'm with the others. At this point I'd seriously be lacing the food with something unpleasant, most likely a strong laxative or a sedative of some kind so they'd get in trouble for sleeping on the job.

Please don't lace your planted food with noxious or possibly harmful substances as the first step. Better, IMO, are any of the recommendations that get them caught, protect your food, or warn them (ie, in Spanish, if they are Spanish speakers)... You maybe don't know what is suitable in their culture - or even what they've been told by their supervisor. For the first step, please consider something less harsh...
One idea: put a small to medium, soft-sided cooler in the freezer with a cold pack - maybe with a lock on the freezer, since you'd only need to use that twice a day. Take it out in the morning, fill it with whatever you brought or think has been left for you, and keep it at your desk for the day.
If none of this works - and you've warned them - then I suggest a different substance, if you get to the "laced food" step. Cayenne pepper is not only quite suitable, but can be legally defended ("Hey, I like my food really hot") - and isn't as likely to do any harm. You really don't know if someone has Crohn's, acid reflux, diabetes, etc. - would you really want to chance causing a health crisis over some stolen food, before trying something else? :?
Sorry to be a spoil-sport, but just think about it... then if nothing else works, think about a 1/4 tsp of good quality cayenne under each piece of pepperoni...
I must admit, this is exactly the kind of thing I love to think about - the vision of them being caught sleeeping is a lot of fun, especially - but... then I think of the bizarre (and successful) lawsuits that occur every day!

When I was in the Marine Corps we ahd this happening in our work center. So a guy brought in and left a small ziplock bag of oreo's in the fridge. Someone ate them of course.
The next day taped to the fridge were pictures of oreo's being stuck in the crack of someones ass (was it THE oreo's? no one ever knew). Nothing was misappropriated for a long time out of that fridge.

That reminds me of something a radio guy claimed he did (he lied alot, so it was probably BS).
Anyway, he said he sent a box of donuts to the competing radio station, and at the bottom of the box was a picture of his schlong with donuts on it. THAT is probably the best way to go, since you arent technically doing anything improper (heck, you can even use different donuts).
