Nothing really to say....other than I'm really excited. The only thing that might bring me down would be a pre show announcement that Pauly Shore would be playing the role of the Phantom.

Fun show to watch! Except the time I saw it the chandelier got stuck 2 minutes into the opening scene and the show was delayed half an hour while they fixed it. Rather than just restarting and redoing the 2 minutes they picked up right where they'd left off, which was a bit jarring  :?

I saw it years ago when it was in town.  I had terrible seats (I was actually higher up than the chandelier Tongue ).  Great show though.

Are you talking about the play, or the Joel Schumacher film?

If you are talking about the new movie, my wife and I went to a special screening of it. They told us we were the "first audience in the world!" to see this... it was one of those events where you stick around afterwards and fill out a huge questionaire on what you liked and didn't like about the movie, did you see the play, buy the soundtrack... quite a long list of questions.

I do have to say it was very well done and quite enjoyable. We'll be seeing it again when it comes out "for real".  Oh, and according to my wife, we'll be buying the soundtrack and the DVD when they come out, too!

The show was incredible and to top off a perfect night we went to the Hard Rock Casino after the show and I won $104.00 playing the slot machines. I was down $40.00 and then I hit 2000 credits on one spin. biggrin

The music is good.  I usually like Webber's stuff.  The lyric was meh since his usual lyricist was not available at the time.

The book is really, really good, though.  It explains a lot of stuff that had to be glazed over in the play.  Worth reading.
