Rocky Balboa was the perfect- and I mean perfect- coda to the film series.

Now there's probably going to be another one .

Wonder what Pete Rock thinks of this.

I'll watch it if they go full ridiculous and have Apollo's grandson fight Ivan Drago.

There is no Rocky V. It goes from IV to Balboa. That movie you are referring to does not exist. At all.

That white screen was better than the hypothetical Rocky V.

Maybe if they go fully absurd like they did in the last Rambo and have him just start killing everybody in the ring.  And I mean that literally.

Why can't Sly just let Rocky rest? If this was real life it would be like Mohamed Ali coming out of retirement to fight one of the Klitchos. Just totally unfair and impossible. Also, does anyone else get the feeling that Sly is going to die of a sudden heart attack within the next 5 years or so? No one can be on that much juice at his age while working as much as he does without it taking its toll.

I think he should just keep doing Expendables movies.

The first one was a hoot. The second was pleasantly bad.

He's got III in the works now...why not do IV and V...that will keep him busy for the next 5-6 years and just leave Rocky alone?

I bet in this one, to take full advantage of the zombie craze, Apollo Creed will rise from the grave to coach Rocky back to victory.

In all seriousness he should leave Rocky alone.  I'm very glad he gave us one last Rocky that let the series end on a high note.  I was totally blown away with that one.  It wasn't great, but it was good and I never would have thought he could have pulled a good one out after Rocky V, or the Rocky that shall not be named.

Rambo was a fun ride too, but he should probably let that one go as well.  End it on a high note that made up for a completely forgettable Rambo III.

ATB is right.  Make another Expendables.  I never saw the second one, but the first one was a lot of fun.  Over-the-top, behead-everybody fun.

From what I have read Rocky wont be fighting in this movie but will training Apollo Creeds grandson.   Now as long as they dont have Rocky actually fighting this could work decently well.

In Rocky V he was a trainer too and we all know how well that worked out.

You don't think Creed's grandson is going to be played by Jaden Smith do you?

Director Ryan Coogler, fresh off the acclaimed drama “Fruitvale Station,” is set to direct.  Coogler originally pitched the idea to Stallone, who uses the same management company as the director. Stallone reportedly liked the idea of pushing the franchise forward with a new lead enough to bring the story to MGM. The studio is in early talks to also bring aboard his “Fruitvale Station” star, Michael B. Jordan, for the title role in “Creed,” according to the report.

It sounds more promising knowing someone totally new and talented is behind the initial push to get the movie made.  It may not be a grab for easy cash from a studio executive afraid of new ideas, but a fresh perspective on an old story.
