A blogger over at Suicide Girls website list 2 Nintendo games as his favorite games..Metroid and Zelda. Nintendo somehow sees those game names listed there and sees also that the site has adult content and files a cease and desist lawsuit agaist the guy. Biggest WTF is this country coming to. Nintendos goody goody and cutsie wootsie attitude is why I cant stand them...but this is just stupid. Honestly I can't believe that ALL the guy did is mention the games. It'd be pretty nuts to sue someone over that, but I guess you never know. Maybe some senior VP snapped and started filing motions.  s |

That site is very NSFW. Not all of it is pay and there are a lot of pictures posted in the forums that aren't blocked (and many that are too).
As for the lawsuit it's total BS. This is not only a case where the judge should toss it out right away but should penalize Nintendo for filing a frivilous (and stupid) lawsuit and wasting the court's time.

Actually reading over the letter, its not even a lawsuit. Its just a letter from their attorney telling them to remove the names. I highly doubt this will even show up in court.

Very Very Interesting site
It's almost like a dating service in all the info that the girls post about themselves. It's very addicitve in checking out all the interests of the various girls and yes, some of them are hot.

all it is is a letter to remove the protected names from the site. personally i think it's bullshit. posted about it on my blog a bit... Personally, I think this is stupid. The guy likes your shit! Who cares if he's into chicks with tatoos and piercings?! All they're doing by making this move is turning off the "I dig chicks with tats and pierced lips" demographic. |

Here's a copy of Nintendo's letter. It does make sense for Nintendo to enforce their trademark on companies trying to sell porn using trademarked characters; suicidegirls.com just got caught up accidentally. |
