I loved the first one too.  The first one had that heartwarming feel to it.  I hope the sequel has the same.  Can't wait to see it and the trailer indicates it could be a lot of fun.

Ok, I might be one of the few, but I thought the first one sucked. Doesn't help that I can't stand Ben Stiller.

The problem with the first one was, the trailers they kept showing, showed all the funny parts, so when it was time to watch the movie itself, there's nothing to laugh about.  I'm hoping they scale it back this time in the trailers.

I enjoyed the first one a great deal, but I can't for the life of me imagine why we need a sequel.

Since when has it been about what we need?  We don't "need" a sequel, but of course they'll make one if the first was successful.  It'll lack some of the surprise of the original(the curse of all sequels, I suppose), but looks like it'll have some good laughs.

I disagree.  IMO, there were way more funny parts than what could be squeezed into the trailers.

The first was better than I expected and it looks like they’ve got all the original actors to return so I’ll at least give this one a rent.

That trailer might have given away a lot of scenes, pretty long. That said I really enjoyed the first and will definitely go see this since it has all the original cast.

Just got back from seeing this with my wife and kids.  It was great, lots of funny scenes.  Pretty nice as sequels go.  Amy Adams was cute as usual.

As an aside, there were 25 minutes of commercials and previews before the actual movie started.  We don't go to very many movies, but I don't ever remember having to sit through at least 15 minutes of commercials before.  I think it's ridiculous.

EDIT:  Typo.

Its like that at our local theatre for every movie. Even longer sometimes. I joke with the wife all the time and say, "remind me what we're here to see again"?

Saw the movie today. It was fun if a little crazier than the first with subsequently having a bit less of a story. There also wasn't as much Owen Wilson in it, though Amy Adams is always fun. Definitely a fun movie, though I was somehow expecting a bit more.

I liked it. Having giggling kids sitting next to you always increases the enjoyment factor as well.

I thought Hank Azaria was great, but Christopher Guest was completely wasted. The guy playing Napoleon was funny too. Turns out he's a French admirer of Abrams Zucker which explained his wackiness.

I don't think so. Definitely some unexpected scenes in the movie. The Ice Age trailer before the movie was pretty funny too.

Like many movies aimed at kids, there were alot of lines aimed at adults. Also a number of new and old Pop culture references too. I think one scene was taken right out of 300.

The movie was clever, but at times tried to be too clever and pushed jokes farther than they needed to be. It's also one that i'll watch a few times again just because so much was going on.
