So got home from work today and found a package from amazon.com.

Opened it up and it was the HD-DVD adapter for my Xbox360.

:-)

She got it for me just because she thought I might like  it.

it actually gets even better. I was just so excited about the hd-dvd that I temporarily  forgot about the other stuff.

she also mowed the lawn, cleaned the house, and took out all the trash so that I wouldn't have anything to worry about this weekend while she takes our daughter  to a big zoo in the next state over (So i can have the weekend alone to catch up on the writing for my book)

yeah I'm being spoiled.

WTF? I do the garbage for my wife and I get told that I did it because I think she can't handle it and our 2 kids.

Can't a guy take out the trash without it having a double meaning anymore???

Don't forget that this weekend is mother's day, too.  Impressive.  Most impressive.

Yeah, she's taking your daughter and clearing out for the weekend?  Better check the house for gas leaks or stray sticks of TNT.  icon_wink

But on the off-chance that it's on the up-and-up, I hope you really enjoy your weekend.

you don't have a nice surplus of TNT in your house?  What are you going to do when the Russkies attack?

I predict El will go crazy writing his book with nothing else to do.

Right, the sticks he's planted to make his house's demise look like an "accident" so he can get out of Home Ownership Hell.  Those aren't supposed to go off this weekend...or are they?

El, with all this good fortune, you should perhaps pick up some Pop Rocks and push your luck. nod

well the weekend is almost over and I'm still alive - so at least it wasn't a ploy at any insurance money.

On a side note - I am really impressed with the HD-DVD. It really is quite noticeably better. I watched King Kong, Serenity, and the Mummy Returns on it this weekend.
