I get a feeling the Devils and Rangers dont like each other.
8-0? Ya, that Brian Burke truculence thing is working great.
Meanwhile, my beloved Red Wings continue to go the wrong way. It now looks like they will be on the road in round one, and against Nashville. Don't like the sound of that one bit.
It seems to me that the Bruins will repeat. Who can beat them in a 7 game series?

Something tells me, like a nagging feeling that the Stanley Cup Final will feature Boston against Nashville. Cant explain it...just something in my gut.

That was a bad hit by Kesler... man.
What a snoozer of a game, great goaltending by Harding. The Canucks had better learn how to get up for games against weaker teams, or it's going to be a short post-season.
At this point I'm predicting a Detroit/Pittsburgh final.

A Boston Philly or Boston Pittsburgh series would be great. I'd be damn afraid to play the Bruins if I was Crosby coming back from a year and a half of injuries, guaranteed they'll try to take his head off.

Everyone settle down!
The Bruins won one game over a team that wets themselves when they see them.
The only team they would be beating in the first round is the Devils, and we all pray that we never see that matchup.
(now maybe Koz will come in here!)

Just watched that Devils/Rags starter... scrappy. Looked like blood sort of exploded out of Carter's face when he hit the ice. Ouch.

Everyone settle down!
The Bruins won one game over a team that wets themselves when they see them. Seriously. The Bruins still aren't that good. No Horton, no Peverley, Thomas playing average and the rest of the team not picking up the slack. If they played only Toronto, Philly and NJ in the playoffs I would like their chances, but I'll take the Pens or Rags over Boston in a 7 game series right now. Still plenty of time left in the season, though.

Conklin is being called up, but it seems has to clear re-entry waivers... so... Pearce? McCollum?

VRWC?
I believe that would be the Vast (and most honorable) Red Wings Conspiracy (or, more politely, Cabal), backed by NBC and the vast network of spies and connections left behind by the infamous Russian Five espionage and hockey-playing network.

OMG that Hawks/Canucks game was amazing. Please let them meet in the playoffs.
Nice to see the Canucks bringing some toughness to the table, I was sure Kassian was going to kill one of the Blackhawks.

Yeah, but the elbow to the head of Daniel Sedin by Duncan Keith was very unfortunate. Last I heard Canucks still hadn't announced the extent of the injury, but it was enough to keep him out of the rest of the game. I'm expecting Keith to be handed a suspension for that, but probably not much of one since he doesn't have much of a history of such things. Personally, with the way the Sedins have been playing, if Daniel's out for some time I don't think its going to have much impact on the team. I have to admit I'm not that impressed with last nights performance - it was an improvement over recent games, but they still lost and only managed to score 1 goal.

I thought there were a lot of positives actually. I too think they might not miss Daniel as much as we would expect, in fact it may even elevate them. Hank getting 2 penalites, lots of rallying! These are good things for a team that needs to bring the toughness.
Raymond is a machine, my god that guy can skate.
That was like a playoff game, I had a hard time sleeping after!
I hope they aren't too tired in Dallas tonight.

If he's not out for too long and there are no lingering effects, then it could definitely be a good thing. It's not like Vancouver is going to miss the playoffs.

Both Sedin and Keith should be suspended. Sedin for the initial hit that led to Keith's retaliation, but Keith should get more games.

Nice comeback game by the Nucks last night, Schneids looked great. Sounds like the league wants an in-person conference with Keith - that can't be good. To bad, one of the only Hawks I actually like.

Sounds like the league wants an in-person conference with Keith - that can't be good. To bad, one of the only Hawks I actually like. I wasn't aware of that, last I heard it was going to be a phone call hearing which translates into a 5 or less game suspension. In person though means potentialy much more. IMO Keith should get 5 or more. I think you can make a case for Sedin getting a single game suspension; it was a shoulder hit and Keith wasn't injured, but it was still a late hit to the head. Regardless, Sedin should've been handed at least 5 minutes when it happened and Keith should have been given 5 minutes or more then and there too. As it stood, no penalty called on Sedin and 2 minutes on Keith - complete bullshit officiating. [Edit] Officials need to grab some testinal fortitude and stop relying on Shanabam to make the hard calls.

They want an in-person meeting (5 games or more), but want Keith to waive the in-person meeting ?!? I'm assuming b/c an in-person involves travel time, and with only 7 games left in the season they want to get it done. I'm guessing rest of the regular season, and maybe one playoff game. I agree that Daniel should have had a penalty for his hit, the officiating was terrible that game. But c'mon, he'll serve his suspension in the form of a head injury.

The problem with saying that, is it bypasses the loss of pay which is equally important in the suspension process.
