Wings are on pace to allow only 82 goals against this season!  icon_razz

It will also take them, at this rate, 5 years to play the season!

Seriously, wtf is up with the huge, huge breaks between wings games so far this season?  4 days last week, then FIVE next...

Then there is the Penguins, who play 13 games in the month of October, it is brutal.

10 for the Sabres, including back to back games in Helsinki and Berlin last weekend and home against CAR tonight and on the road in PIT tomorrow.

Same for the sharks this first week. So odd.

Devils play Saturday and not again until next Friday.

Always happens. I think it's a tactic the league uses to get the Rangers more games in the first two weeks than anyone else, so they have a chance to get points and claim they're in first place, even though nobody is within 9 games played.

You all complaining about scheduling...

Wait until March when you are playing 6 games in 13 days to make up for the early season scheduling idiocy. I'm speaking from experience after last season.  There were 3 stretches late last season when the Blues had ridiculous numbers of games in shortened time spans, because they had long breaks in Oct and Nov.

Another shootout win.

This one on the road and coming back from being down 2 in the 3rd.

Starting to feel better. We'll see how long it lasts.

Meanwhile Sharks have lost 2 in a row now. Not liking another slow start.

I can't believe how terrible Dan Boyle is looking these days.  I've watched just a few games, but he genuinely does not look good out there.

Actually, I kinda like that! He's not hurt all that bad, Moose is pretty good, and it forces him to rest.

No real down side at this point.

I'm taking things very slowly this year.

leo - That's too bad, but it's still early.

My Caps are gonna go 82-0 and then get swept in the first round of the playoffs. YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!   retard icon_lol Vokoun looked like Jose Theodore on a bad day in his debut but has seemed more confident with each game.

Beyond him, it still doesn't seem like our offseason signees are contributing much just yet or quite comfortable in the system. Injured D "lumberjack" John Erskine still seems like our only D that puts any sort of fear into anyone, physically. I'll leave the rest of the hand-wringing to our team's way too many bloggers...

Yeah - Now that felt more like last year.

Knew it was going to end poorly when they couldn't get that 3rd one to go up 3-0 and then at 3-2 missed chances to finish it.

You guys needed the win, though, so it's good for you.

Now we're heading out west!

Trying to win games 1-0 with horrible defense is no way to go through a season...again.

Side note - Bruins should play the Penguins all 82 games so nobody else would ever have to listen to their announcing crews.

Bitchin', whinin', homer-fest!

Still can't stand Boston's color guy who says things and re-states them in spite of replays showing he is completely wrong.  If it's for the Bruins - it happened.  If it's against the Bruins - it didn't happen.  No matter what actually happens on the ice.

As a Penguins fan, all I can say is Yes...they are.  I am sorry that anyone ever has to hear them.  However the blame falls squarely on Fox Sports, as the Penguins do not have control over who does the TV commentary.

Can you guys just go ahead and trade Bernier please? Some of us would like to see him play in the NHL before he retires. slywink

It's interesting to see Buffalo go from pitching a shutout one game to being victimized for another in the very next game.

I dunno. He's a pretty awesome and cheap backup right now.

Of course, if New Jersey would just offer up Parise for him everyone would be happy.
