I'm re-realizing why I stopped watching football.  It's so frigging aggro.

Peter King picks the Rams 23-13 over Buffalo.

Why do I care at all about that?  I really like Peter King and read his columns every week even when I'm totally not following football (I don't know what the heck I'm doing right now) but man...that's just low.

Peter King can SHUT IT!

And SI decided to honor the Eagles cheerleaders this week.

And later down the list are the Buffalo Jills...

I can't stand sportswriters who pull this crap.  It's an attempt to stand out from the crowd by making an outlandish prediction, and it's a win-win for the writer.  If the Rams do pull it off he can claim to have been the first to call it.  If not, then he can simply say that if the Rams were going to turn it around, this would be a perfect opportunity, but unfortunately they fell short.   Roll Eyes

But if I pick the Bills in Zaxxon's pool this week and they do lose, well.......then......um......I guess I'm just going to stomp around and bitch about it but not really do anything at all.

No Carson Palmer for the Bengals this week.  They're now starting Ryan Fitzpatrick!

I don't have a TV at home so I checked the scores on NFL.com and I noticed that the AZ Cards were down 0-7. 20 mins later I check and they are down 0-34! Woah, is that an NFL record or something? I don't remember ever seeing any team score 34 points in one quarter!  icon_eek

I'd be lying if I said I didn't enjoy that.  I've continued to think that Dallas is overrated, and definitely beatable, and Washington proved exactly that.

But Washington is certainly starting to worry me.  Rarely am I one to look past an upcoming game, but following Chicago this week we play Washington in Philly next week.  Things in the NFC East continue to get more and more interesting.  Now, if you'll excuse me, I have to get back to preparing to scream at the TV.

Not to nitpick you Pete, but where have you stated that you think Dallas is overrated? I remember saying that and I remember you saying my gut was wrong and that your gut and the analysts were right, but I don't remember you saying anything of the sort other than saying D has an onslaught and is picked to win the division.

My comment about your gut being wrong was in reference to Philadelphia and Pittsbugh.  And just because I don't say it here doesn't mean I haven't insisted since the start of the season that Dallas is overrated.  I talk far more football with local friends and family than I do online.  I actually limit my football discussions here because I inevitably get heated over irritating comments.  Tone and attitude are very difficult to interpret in text, and I am too passionate about my Eagles to discuss their performance over the course of the season calmly when jabs at my team and my support of said team are inevitable.  I don't have to say "Dallas is overrated" on an internet forum to validate my claim.  I'd said it since the start of the season, but you'll simply have to take my word for it as I've said it numerous times within my real-world circle of friends, just not here on GT.

Skins are really impressing me.  Dallas is a tough place to win, and the Skins pulled it out.

That being said, I don't expect another victory at Philly; I figure if you can steal one away game in the NFC East, you're ahead of the pack.

We've got a hell of a defense, that's for sure.  Especially against the pass, and with virtually zero pass rush this game (don't just look at the Romo stats, since he put up 80 yards and 1 of his TDs against the Skins when they were playing prevent on the last drive.  Prevent defense, fwiw, drives me CRAZY).

Dallas has to be kicking themselves; you just have to hold serve at home in our division.

Horrible playcalling that reminds me of 2 weeks ago when the Jets did the same thing against the Pats.

Igggles will be fine, if/when Westbrook gets back.

They could have won the two games they lost. I'm not worried.

Indeed.  Couple that with 49ers linemen who do not know how to pickup the blitz and you's got some issues, yo.
