I don't remember anyone anywhere ever saying that the Jets would challenge for anything but to be second or third in line for a wild card spot. No one said they were an instant contender because of Favre. You must have been watching the Jets channel...

NE might coast into the playoffs on the easiest schedule (at 18-1 how the fuck does that work?).
The NFL rotational scheduling which places the AFC East against the NFC West this year. Buffalo could easily come out of their bye week at 5-0, as they have Oakland, St. Louis, and Arizona in the coming weeks.

They've played San Francisco and Miami for their 2-0 start. While I do believe in Any Given Sunday (Miami's win last year, for instance), I fail to see anything that gives me pause. Now if they take down the Giants in week 4, I might rethink things.

My stomach has been in knots from the moment the clock read "zero" in last week's game in anticipation of Monday Night Football. I love watching the Eagles win and losses always sting, but against the Cowboys victories are for some reason just a tad bit sweeter and losses sting just a little bit more. I haven't talked an ounce of smack about tonight's game, not because I lack confidence in Philadelphia's chances, but because this is Philadelphia's first true test this season, and after a confidence-building victory against St. Louis I'm just not ready to come down from that high just yet. And I work with a Dallas fan. Today has been a struggle, and if Philadelphia loses, tomorrow is going to be even worse. I came in extra early today so that I can leave the office early and catch all of the pregame chatter. I'm probably nervous because we've had a few rough seasons lately, and with McNabb healthy, Westbrook playing at such a high level, our offense hitting on all cylinders, and our defense looking pretty strong (St. Louis went 0-11 on 3rd down conversions last week ), we certainly have a lot of potential. And that 3-point loss to New England has continued to haunt me since 2004. It stings no less now than it did then. We need another good run.

I am actively rooting for McNabb to get knocked out of this game. Why you ask? Because I am up by 20 pts in my pay FF league and he's got McNabb and Crayton left to go.

Some very messy officiating so far - completely missed the facemask against Dallas and then blew the pass interference call.

We call them "make-up calls". The facemask was blatantly missed (twice, as on the interception Samuel got hit as well), but the pass interference made up for two missed facemasks. Make-up calls. I'm already drunk, hoarse, and jumping around the living room. I can't handle this shit.

NOW!!! CUT HIM NOW!!!
I don't give a crap that they scored the TD.
Embarrassing.

Well, that was close to Leon Lett stupid, but you kind of knew that it would be a TD anyway. The defenders really dropped the ball (no pun intended) by not picking it up.

Let McNabb read the paper and have a cup of coffee in the pocket, why don't you? ...and learn to make a freaking tackle. Good grief, are 5 guys not enough to pull one guy down?

Yeah, I missed that too. I mean, he has plenty of things he should apologize for, but what did he say the obviously resulted in someone telling him to apologize for it after the break?

Wow, what an incredible game! I'm certainly glad that my Cowboys came out on top, but honestly I would've been satisfied with their performance if they hadn't. Both teams were on fire the whole game. Games like these are why I love me some football. My god, the MNF announcers are just terrible.
Jaws is awesome. The other two range from meh to SUCK. gellar Agreed, but I'd say that Kornheiser fills the latter slot.

I believe Mr. Tony was chosen in order to fulfill a specific role. I'm not entirely convinced it's his fault. I've watched PTI since its inception, and rarely miss an episode, and his personality is perfect for a show like that. His style of humor, or whatever you want to call it, just does not fit in MNF. It never has and never will imo. He should be removed from the show immediately. Dan Dierdorf was an underrated part of MNF for 11 straight years. If you can get over him sucking Peyton Manning's dick every time he sees him, I think he would improve things 1000 percent.
