This is great - in Boston on Saturday night you can watch either the Patriots, the Patriots, the Patriots or the Patriots.  Boston was never in danger of not seeing the game, because the cities of the teams in the game get rights to simulcast on a local station.  In this case it's ABC.  By allowing additional simulcasts, the NFL is actually screwing ABC, because where they were going to be the only place to watch the game for people without cable or with Comcast, now people can watch on CBS or NBC (or NFL network if you have satellite or RCN.)  The ABC affiliate is pissed and are hoping the NFL is going to honor their exclusivity deal in the Boston area, but it doesn't look like the NFL has any intention of doing so.

The NFL network is bullshit.  I'm glad the game will be on other networks because while I have the NFL network, it's not hi-def.  And I don't like regular def.  It's not enough def.  Of course, I live in New York, so I'd get to see it anyway.  To recap, fuck the NFL.  And EA and Microsoft.

seeing as the giants will be playing thier starters for about a quarter max, I see no need to watch this steaming pile that will be known as a game.

I'm hoping brady blows out his knee in the third quarter trying to run it up and the patriots get tossed out of the playoffs, because Miami will claim it wasn't a perfect season and argue it till those old players die.

At least half the games are not actually broadcast in HD though, unless its that different over there in Columbia vs Monty County.

LOVE the NFL Network in HD on DTV.

Nice game for the Giants. With nothing to really play for, they came out and played a great game. I hope the 2 guys that got hurt (Mitchell and O'Hara, I think) make it back for next week. Good luck to them!

All that and I can't stand the EFFIN GIANTS!!!  icon_biggrin

That was quite a game.  Was it ever really in doubt that the Pats would win it?
