I will not make any comments for fear of coming across as, somehow, both gloating and bailing on my team at the same time.

BUT...Now we find out that the Jets 'cheated' against the Patriots but the Pats didn't do anything about it. Interesting.

Bills beat cleveland by 6.

Should be a good game.  The Browns have won 5 straight at home averaging 36 points per game.  The Bills haven't scored more than 17 points on the road yet this year.  Unless the weather is really bad the Bills defense will have to play a great game to have a shot.

Amusing comment from ESPN on the Jets/Pats game:
Quote
Here's what Bill Belichick should do when he meets Eric Mangini at midfield following the Pats' 58-3 win Sunday: Hand Mangini a camcorder and say, "I don't know what I was thinking stealing your crappy team's signs. But feel free to tape ours."

I thought Simmons' idea as better:  Belichick should place the punter inactive for the game.  Biggest mindfuck in NFL history.  "Hey Mangini - we don't intend on punting today, KTHX."

With the Jets, I think they could play half the offensive line and still blow them out of the water.  biggrin

Browns Reject Concept Of Controlling Own Playoff Destiny: 'Everything Is Chaos'

CLEVELAND—The Cleveland Browns, although 8-4 going into Week 13 and needing only to win two of their last three games independent of the win/loss record of other AFC teams, rejected the idea that they or anyone else could actually control their own destiny in a chaotic universe. "The cosmos tends towards greater entropy, as man tends towards ever more destructive tendencies and the AFC North tends towards the passing game, and the only constant in our mutable world is change—we cannot afford the illusion of control," said head coach Romeo Crennel, who buried his face in his hands and shook throughout his existentially terrifying Tuesday press conference. "Our playbook, like the books of our very lives, is writ on water; we die a little every day on the field and off, and each step we take brings us closer to ruin and heartbreak, if not the goal line; and also, regardless of the outcome against Buffalo, we really need either the Titans or the Broncos to lose at least one game." Quarterback Derek Anderson echoed his coach's outlook, saying he planned to "just heave the ball up and, although not praying, watch in mixed hope and terror as the incalculable probabilities play themselves out downfield" against opposing secondaries for the rest of the season.

per The Onion, which of course rules:http://www.theonion.com/content/news_briefs/browns_reject_concept_of Oh yeah, GO BROWNS: Browns by 3 over Bills, in a Lake Effect snowstorm, winning in some inconceivably weird way..

Boy that joke Ballew!

Get it? It's like saying 'blew' only emphasizing the syllables like  'ba-loo' so that it in fact sounds like your last name!

 icon_mrgreen

Or or...

when you played little league and tagged out your own player rather than the kid on the opposing team:

Coach1: Who just did that ridiculousness
Coach2: Jason Ballew.
Coach1: He sure did. What's his last name?
Coach2: Ballew.  Yes. his performance 'ba-loo' now what's his last name?

OMG. You're a walking Abbott and Costello bit.

Didn't see that, pretty funny.

I'll be rooting for the Bills.  I like Edwards and Jauron.

I have to give it to the Texans for an EXCELLENT game last night.  I was expecting the game to at least be close, but I, in no way, expected them to blow out the Broncos the way they did.  How about that Mario Williams?  FINALLY living up to the "Super Mario" moniker...Awesome game...

One doesn't need to be all that competent to pass all over the field against the Bengals.

let me enjoy my time Tongue  I'm well aware who they played smile  But he has looked good.  He looked good against the Vikings when he came in, and he looked even better against the bengals.

Awesome, now the Raiders need to lose, and we'll have the same record.

So it's 4th and 2, on around the bengals 30 yard line.  You are leading 20-13 and it's about 5 mins left in the game, what would you do?

Well, I tell you what Nolan did, and he's lucky they held on.  He went for it instead of going for the 3 pts to make it a 2 score game.  They didn't make it the conversion and Bengals marched it back and almost scored a TD.  Thanks to Ocho-Cinco, he dropped the pass in the endzone and niners held on for a victory.  There would have been hell to play if they scored.  Nolan  has lost a lot of respect in Northern CA, and gambling when you didn't need to, could have cost him alot.

That was an epic stupid call by Nolan.  I was almost rooting for him to get burned on it.  EPIC. STUPID.

Want assholes?  How about Patriot fans throwing snowballs at the officials.  Good to see they have about as much class as Rodney Harrison.

Sorry Tony Romo, but you are going to have dump Jessica Simpson, because she is sucking up all your manly football power.  Time to take one for the team.
