The Broncos have lost 3 in a row and still manage to lead the AFC West with a record of 4-4.  saywhat

Cutler makes a nice come from behind win against the Browns.

Broncos lose another Running Back for the season (Ryan Torain) and Selvin Young re-injures his groin. I think they were down to using the Full Back halfway through the 3rd Quarter. They've already lost Andre Hall and Michael Pittman to IR against Miami. Anyone have spare Running Backs?

You have no ability to comment as you're not a Bills fan and don't know how these things work.

Absent a team from Buffalo, use logic: They'll have dropped 3 straight division games. Unless they win the division outright, they lose all 3 tiebreakers = No playoffs.

Actually I'll vouch on Is being a buffalo fan.  I wont go for length of time, but he knows of the pain of being a buffalo fan, wide right, Music City Miracle (FORWARD PASS!), and No goal.

I on the other hand, live in buffalo, as such I think the reason these teams exist is to drive buffalonians to the sauce.

It's not the first time.  And it won't be the last.  We've struggled with important short yardage plays a number of times this season, both with 4th-down conversions and goal-line stands.  It was actually refreshing to see Philadelphia use the wildcat formation in the red zone with a direct snap to Jackson for a touchdown.

But it's easy to fixate on the poor play calling during Philadelphia's 2-minute drill at the end of the game as it is fresh in everyone's mind.  However, what about the throwaway challenge to give up one timeout?  Or the 200+ rushing yards Philadelphia gave up?  McNabb's interceptions?  Dropped passes?  Time of possession?  Interfering with the catch during a punt?  Fumbling a kick return?  I will say that I can understand our defensive struggles as our defense was on the field for almost 70% of the game, but then that brings up the ridiculously 1-sided time of possession.

What I can't believe is given how one-sided the game was, Philadelphia was still in it until that last 4th-down play.  The Giants may be good, but they're not invincible.  And while Philadelphia has four losses, every one came down to key mistakes in close games.

Fucking Giants.

Although it could be worse.  I could be a Bills fan.

That was an epic bad pair of play calls there by Philly (on 3rd and 4th and short).

gellar

WTF happened to Westbrook.  Freaking cost me the game, well that and Chris Johnson from Ten, who also did a no show.

I can sum this up for you:

Andy Reid needs to go.

Does that work?

I waver on my feelings toward McNabb and Reid every other week.  Problem is, Reid is a good coach.  Just not a consistent coach.  And the same can be said of McNabb at quarterback.  When he's on, he's spectacular.  But he has continued to struggle with consistency.  Some of Reid's decisions are outright baffling.  But then plays like the direct snap to Jackson seem inspired and effective.  Then we regress back to trying to run Westbrook to the right on two consecutive fucking goddamn short yardage plays when our running game has been rendered completely ineffective.

What is most frustrating is there is so much talent on this team.  And there was

On a side note, I'm finding Asante Samuel to be a bit overrated.  He has a habit playing off of his coverage 10 to 15 yards, always focusing on the "big play", but consistently giving up 7 to 12 yards a play.  Yes, he'll occasionally make a great interception, but I'm not worried about big gains.  I'm worried about the 7 to 10 yards a play he gives up to allow a team to move the ball down the field.  Especially when the line has held a team to 3rd and long and Sammuel gives up the first on an 8-yard play.  Lito Sheppard has a habit of giving up the big play, and Samuel gives up consistent short gains.  I'm not sure which is worse.

Our run blocking has been problematic all season.  Most of the time Westbrook's gains are due more to his tenacity than to good blocking.  The Giants' defense is far too strong to overcome with good running.  You need good blocking as well and we just didn't have that last night.

I'd say reid is too predictable in specific situations.  He thinks he needs to fool the defense and not play to your strengths.

What I expected to happen, and didnt thankfully, was to have him roll Mcnabb on a bootleg (not naked, heh) and either mcnabb would run for the first or find some guy the giants forgot to cover for a first down.

When I saw the second handoff, I was cheering before he even got hit.

The Giants are not invincible, but they are one of the more consistently better teams every week.  Two wins on the road against Pittsburg and Philly is nothing to shake a stick at.  The fact they have such a good division record is a great sign for us fans, but I refuse to put them on a pedestal.  Any given week we can get cleveland' again. :/

You know I love you Pete.

Oh, and nobody is invincible.  Case in point:  Patriots in the Super Bowl.

I live with my highs:  Giants.

I live with my lows:  Islanders and Mets.

Um, yeah. When did 'Oh Yeah?' equate to tool or insult.

Maybe I should have decorated it in smilies.

When it comes to NFL threads:

1. One can't joke about games not counting because the picks were posted 10 minutes after kickoff without smilies for a very uncompetitive barely being tracked pick 'em on a gaming forum
2. Can't continue the long running theme of Bills angst where I repeatedly state gloom and doom and the fact that people don't understand the pain- apparently I missed your backstory, maybe you should have a link to it in your sig so that I don't miss every minute detail of who you are and what you like, cause for the life of me I remember Semaj being a fan and even Runningman being a fan but not you- without someone taking it as an insult to his/hers (in case I missed the fact that you're a woman in afore mentioned backstory  nod)  manhood/womanhood (in case I missed the fact that you're a woman in afore mentioned backstory nod ).  icon_lol icon_razz slywink icon_wink slywink icon_lol icon_razz

Damn,

I forgot MNF is on ESPN. That means, we'll be hearing about Singletary and his dealing with Vernon Davis, and then the depantsing, every 20 minutes.

Get over it, it happen 2 weeks ago, it's no longer a story.
