The way that ESPN and the NFL network were talking, you should probably take the Giants and the 4 points they're getting int the Super Bowl over the Chargers. The thought was that the Chargers would be a little beat up from going through the Colts and the Jags.
I'll take the Colts and Pats.
...and in the NFC I'll go with the favorites again! Boys and Pack!
While we're at it...Bob Sanders for defensive player of the year?!??!
Here's where Bob ranks this year: Tackles - 39th Sacks - 87th INTs - Tied for 71st Passes Defensed - 113th Forced Fumbles - We all tied him with ZERO.
He's a safety, so it's not like Deion Sanders shutting down half the field and getting no numbers. All I hear about this guy is how "he makes plays". Apparently, not too many.
I will, however, give him the "Junior Seau, Memorial, Jumping On The Pile So I Get On TV" award. He has perfected that!

Pats, Colts, Giants, Seahawks.
I think if the weather isn't bad the Seahawks have a good chance. Their defense is underrated and I think the Packers are kind of a fraud.
I do think any of the 4 remaining AFC teams would win the NFC right now.

I agree 100%. The real super bowl will be the AFC Championship game.

You could have God, the Holy Ghost, Jesus Christ, and any eight members of the Pro Football Hall of Fame on the field for the Chargers next week. It won't change anything. (Ok, so I exaggerated a bit for dramatic effect. You get the hint. And no, I'm not a Patriots fan.) The AFC Championship Game is going to be the "Patriots Name The Score Day". No way on God's green earth the Chargers stay with them at this point. My prediction if LT and Rivers both play--Patriots 48, Chargers 17. If either of them don't?... I'm putting my faith in all that is good on this earth, and any other, that LT and ESPECIALLY Rivers play next week.

And you should be.
That said, don't take the Giants lightly. They are playing at their full potential right now, play very well on the road (9-1 now), and won't be impacted by bad weather since they actually prefer to run.
Should be a good game.

Oh I know, I never take any team lightly! In fact, I thought yesterdays game would be a lot closer. I'm just happy that Favre doesn't have to play at Texas Stadium where he is 0-9!

Ok, I have to do it and it's nothing personal but: To all those obnoxious Cowboy fans out there: Take that "America's Team". Seeing Jerry Jones standing there on the sidelines staring with bewilderment: priceless.

This certainly was an interesting weekend of football. The first few minutes of the Packers game was a little hairy, but after I saw them score that first touchdown I told my wife that they were going to win. That weather was amazing though, how it looked like they went to the cams that were close to the field so that you could actually see the plays going on. NY heading to Green Bay should be an interesting matchup.
Talk about upsets on Sunday though. I'm surprised that the Chargers beat the Colts. Both Championship games should be a lot of fun!

I hope it's Pats GB.
But I would be torn on who I'd want to win.
THere's the perfect record on the line...but also the emotional component of a resurgent GB and Brett Favre.
I guess I'll go with my conference of choice: the AFC.
