If they had called it, the 49ers would've gotten 4 more plays. Defensive holding or a pass interference is an automatic first down.

Or they could have called offsetting penalties and replayed 4th down.  I'd say the refs were pretty consistent in 'letting them play' the whole game.  You can't really expect them to change that at the end of the game and say they are going to decide the Super Bowl.

I think the Ed Reed offsides should have been called on the 2-pt conversion.  Also I've seen rumblings that the competition committee will almost surely adopt a rule to put time back on the clock when there's a holding call on a safety.

People seem to hate it, but I think it's an improvement.

Unfortunately they must have forgotten that the Jaguars have no fans.

That's a good point. It's hard to sell new merchandise to a fan base that doesn't exist. Weren't they supposed to change locations rather than logos?

AHHHHH YEAH!

The Chiefs apparently have their quarterback now, but they paid a handsome price for him.

According to Tim Kawakami of the San Jose Mercury News, the 49ers will get a second-round pick this year and “a similar pick in the 2014 draft” in exchange for quarterback Alex Smith.

Just imagine if we tried to trade him 2 years ago, we'd be lucky to get something out of him Tongue

Way, way more than I was expecting.  Happy for the 49ers and for Smith, who at least goes to a decent situation in KC.
