Bummer, so many missed niners opportunities. What's with the shitty play calling with 1st and goal from the 7 there at the end?
Congrats to the Ravens

Wow! That was 1 of the weirdest and 1 of the best games I've ever watched. Love that the Lewis legacy went out with a bang. The lights going out are baffling to me. How the Hell do they manage to screw up the electricity for 1 of the most important sporting events in the US?!?

Lame pass interference no call in the endzone and lame holding no call on the safety. But niners put themselves in this situation in the first half and letting Jones score on the kickoff

Ray Lewis saying that God wanted him the Ravens to win the Super Bowl, I just about choked. He should be in pounded-in-the-ass prison and he's cloaking himself in this Jesus-Freaky BS. Still, I'm glad the Ravens won just so Jim Harbaugh gets another ulcer. He may be a good coach but he's a lousy person.

I still don't understand that 3 straight pass plays called by the Niners at the end there? Use that best O-Line in football!

Good no call. No, Gratch is right. But at least there would have been a little more time Which I also believe it wouldn't matter. I just merely pointing out the inconsistencies that I saw in officiating. Many people I've talked to who had no stake in the game saw the same things. But at the end, the niners dug themselves in too deep to get out of

Dunno. But it is the wrong stadium. That's replay footage from a previous MNF game. Either that, or they've gotten really good at seeing the field from above through an opaque dome.

Is that flash of light to the left of the stadium a generator blowing up? It's from Candlestick from last year against the Steelers. I believe 2 generators blew up that night. More importantly, we beat the Steelers that night

It's from Candlestick from last year against the Steelers. I believe 2 generators blew up that night. More importantly, we beat the Steelers that night So based on all that data, the Niners lost last night because only half the lights went out. They need to fire the coach of their electrical team!

Actually it was Defensive holding on the last play because the infraction occurred before the ball was thrown iirc. The (offensive)pass interference no call was when the receiver threw the defender down. So they were both guilty but the first one should have negated the second. Zero chance they make that call in that situation though unless it's just blatant. I thought the bigger no calls were all the punches being thrown during the numerous mix ups. Regular season game and at least 2 players would have been tossed.

The refs only called 7 penalties in the entire game. They just let the players play and I am fine with that
It helps my team won, but you know

Tough, tough loss but I do feel the Ravens deserved the win. Flacco was incredible.
BTW- if you ever get the opportunity to go to a Super Bowl, absolutely do it. Even with the nutpunch of a loss, it's one of the best experiences of my life.

Regular season game and at least 2 players would have been tossed. You guys have a better perspective on it than I do and I'm only a casual NFL viewer, but I can tell you that there's absolutely no way in a CFL game (Cup final or not) that Baltimore would have escaped without a penalty on that play. The CFL's rules on pass interference are virtually identical to the NFL's, so I was surprised a flag wasn't thrown. That makes sense though from the perspective of a CFL fan, because the CFL flavor of football is more of a passing game. I'm not sure the 9'ers would have scored on an ensuing play anyways, because the Ravens seemed to be mucho fired up defensively at that point.

If they had called it, the 49ers would've gotten 4 more plays. Defensive holding or a pass interference is an automatic first down.

I would be willing to bet the NFL had a chat with the refs to remind them that the game is not about them....nudge nudge wink wink. There was a lot of contact from both players but I think another contributing factor was that the pass was not really catchable. It looked a bit high to catch and bring feet down in the endzone. Probably close enough to call holding in a regular game.

If they had called it, the 49ers would've gotten 4 more plays. Defensive holding or a pass interference is an automatic first down.
Or they could have called offsetting penalties and replayed 4th down. I'd say the refs were pretty consistent in 'letting them play' the whole game. You can't really expect them to change that at the end of the game and say they are going to decide the Super Bowl.
