Both games could be intriguing. Being a Broncos fan I'm naturally nervous. I have little worries about them actually losing. But these games played in extreme weather conditions bother me.

How is it after all these weeks that Kaepernick still can't manage the play clock holy shit.

Oops. But there's no way the Broncos should've lost that game. That was a serious choke.

Maybe the Niners can give them even more penalty yards next possession!

I was working so I only got to see bits here and there...
But wow, what a choke job. After a great season, to lose like that is just disgusting and tough for fans.
Just glad I live in Maui and noone here really cares about it. Folks back home will be talking about this one for a long time.

Alex Smith who? HOLY SHIT what a game! 49ers are pretty much the elite qb killer the last two years. Great job Defense, great job, Colin, and great job coaches. Hope the pattern doesn't continue. Pattern is W W L W W L and so on. The pattern shows we lose next week

Poor Alex Smith. This generation's Steve DeBerg.
Unbelievable how Kaepernick ran every which way through the Packers defense. Then Crabtree goes crazy. Then Gore goes off. Great display of offense.

So what was better? Smith beating Brees last year, or today's game? From a stadium experience standpoint.

so damn close to a matchup against your niners, Ken. so close. it's a bit nagging that a blown timeout call could have led to us losing. too bad we didn't start the 2nd quarter like we did last week.
see you all in August!

He's probably referring to the TO before Atlanta kicked the final FG.

exactly. too soon to stop the snap, but too late to let the play run it's course (which was a bad kick).
truly though, we lost it on that last ATL possesion. our D let them get too many yards in those three plays. I knew it was over as soon as that pass completed.

I thought carrol called the TO and they went ahead and snapped and kicked. That happens pretty often.

Yep; that's why he was so pissed. Carrol called the TO early enough so that Bryant shouldn't have been able to get a practice kick in, but he did it anyway.

I'm not sure if there's technically a rule about it, but Carrol said that they refs came up to the coaches before the game and clearly stated that they would not allow kickers to have those practice kicks.

No idea how you stop that though. If I was a kicker, even if the whistle blew 5 seconds before... I'm having my center snap the ball and I am kicking the fuck out of it.

I suppose the refs could've penalized the Falcons for a delay of game? Or unsportsmanlike conduct? Not that they ever would in that sort of situation, but they probably have that right. Apparently the Ravens kicker also got in a practice kick(s?) between the 1st and 2nd OTs before the refs saw him and kicked him off the field.

I think they should call a delay of game on the dumbass coaches that keep trying to ice the kickers when it has statistically proven to be a negligible advantage at best and in most cases detrimental. http://espn.go.com/blog/statsinfo/post/_/id/34217/icing-the-kicker-remains-ineffective-practice.

I don't know what replay they were looking at. That totally looked like the ball bounced off the ground.

Rough break for the Pats - guy almost managed to get completely to the ground with the ball while knocked out cold.
