I don't catch many NFL games because I'm primarily focused on the CFL.
This is the first time the above sentence as been uttered in the history of mankind. He probably watches WNBA too More likely he's Canadian. I bet lots of Canadians utter those words. There are lots of Canadians?

Yep, I live in Canuckistan and follow the BC Lions - easy to do because they're 9-3 and in 1st. Go Lions Go! I'd say an equal amount, if not more, Canadians actually follow the NFL, but home games have drawn over 40k a few times this year so at least in my city there's some fans following the CFL. I just prefer the rules in our league and I guess the officiating now too. [Edit] And just so everyone here knows - Purge's home team (Winnipeg Blue Bombers) are in dead last and absolutely suck.

Canadialand always reminds me of snow, beer, and wolverines. So overall they're nice thoughts.

That surprises me a bit because the color commentator on the network I watched kept babbling on about the Packers player trapping the ball against his chest as if it made a difference. That made me assume the NFL was different than the CFL where maintaining a firm grip with 2 hands is enough to win a simultaneous catch for the team that last had possession. Guess that commentator didn't know his stuff. Kind of moot IMO, because that Hawks reciever manhandled a Packers defender to the ground before he made the catch - unless of course that's allowed in the NFL?

I love watching the Texans this year. I mean, I know we haven't /really/ had a tough game yet (and likely won't until....the Packers? the Jets were always tough on us, but now with Sanchez playing horribly and Revis gone for the season?).
It's almost like I'm waiting for the other shoe to drop. And not wanting to jinx it.
GO TEXANS.

Good Defensive win with a great rushing. Kendal Hunter is finding all the wholes.
It's too bad Alex Smith couldn't connect on his deep pass plays, 3 easy blown opportunities. Did Vernon Davis even have a catch today?
Didn't really like Kapernick sliding to avoid the TD, yes, classy, but we come up at a Tie at the end of the season, this will be the game we look at.
Overall, nice to have another win!

he regrets it: ''When you're surrounding by 66,000 people that probably wanna rip your head off, yeah,'' Eagles coach Andy Reid said when asked if he regretted the timeout.

I've always hated that time out to freeze the kicker. I don't think guys at that level feel that much effect from the freeze out attempt. Usually they just get a practice kick out of it.

Time to get out the old paper bag, I guess. I didn't have high hopes for this year with Sean Payton out, but I didn't think they'd be 0-4. I guess on a high note, this game against the Packers was the best looking performance from them.

12-4, 11 -5 & 10-6 is still good enough for a play off spot in the NFC I think. Don't give up hope yet

The defense is absolutely horrible (even worse than usual). The offense at least seemed to wake up, so I guess they could potentially go back to the way they tend to win, which is just to outscore their opponents.

Unless something crazy happens, the Falcons will win the NFC South. That means that NO has to pick up a wild card spot. The teams they will likely be competing for a wild card spot will possibly be, in no particular order, 1)Arizona (I'm assuming San Fran still wins the division), 2)Seattle, 3)Minnesota, 4) Chicago, 5)two of NYG, Eagles, and Cowboys. Could they have a better record at 10 -6 than a few of those team? Sure. Will they have a better record than four of those teams at 10 - 6? Doubtful.

Up next: New York Jets and Monday Night Football.
What, no Revis?
What, no Santonio Holmes?
What, you can't stop the run?
What, your offensive line has more holes than a block of swiss?
Oh, man, this could get FUN.

Wow, it's like the AFC east doesn't want to play the 49ers...
Talk about a beat down. The Bills' defense just didn't want to cover WR's or make tackles. Alex Smith looked and played great. He should have listen to me years ago, because he's reading defenses before the snap, making adjustments, checking down WR's after the snap, and not making mistakes. That's all I've been talking about over the years, and he's finally doing it. I'm really impressed how he's improved this year. I was a little worried the last two games, because he was regressing, but he came back today in force.

Amazing what happens when you're not worried about becoming a smear on the turf .5 seconds after the snap!

Compared to last year?
No. No we're not.
Everyone on our schedule is very beatable with the stiffest challenges being the Packers (at home, very beatable), the Ravens (also at home and also very beatable since they only scored 6 against KC) and the Patriots (at NE, going to be very tough).

Can the real Alex Smith please stand up.
so obviously there's many things that went wrong. Alex not playing well at all making bad decisions. Play calling was horrible. I like Kapernick, but I think they are using him too much and it's now predictable. They abandoned the running game. Blown 2 scoring opportunities on their first two drives. And lastly, the passing Defense didn't do their job.
This was one of the games I thought we lose, so it's not too surprising.

Even if you thought they'd lose, it wasn't like that! How could the Niners not be fired up to stick it to the Giants after the NFC Conference Finals last year? THey looked like shit and Akers is mortal again. Not good.
