Beck is truly a horrible QB. He's worse than Alex Smith ever was in his early years on the Niners.

Nice soccer flop by Justin Smith. icon_biggrin

I think you forgot how bad Alex was smile

Ya Justin Smith's acting job got us 15yards!

Hoping the Pats can find a way to lose out. This team needs a re-boot.

No WRs. No RBs. No defense at all.

It's Brady and 2 TEs.

A 12-4 season and first round playoff loss will mask the problems for another year.

Yep no WRs. They definitely do not have a WR leading the league in receiving yards.

Nice stats. That 120 ypg has given them 6 TDs this season. Go ahead, Wes, run all the 7 yard routes you want.

We'll see how much of a #1 WR he is when it comes to money next year.

Don't get me wrong, he's a nice little receiver, but he doesn't scare anyone like Megatron, Wallace, Fitzgerald and other top wideouts do and today's performance proves it.

Great numbers. Little impact.

Don't think they will be so big as much as they will be Houston laying a beat down on them.  Houston is probably the best team in the AFC right now and they still don't have Andre Johnson back.

It's scary to hear people say that about the Texans given their history. I am shocked at how much Wade Phillips has improved the defense, from dead last to 3rd total defense so far, and there's been little drop off with the loss of Mario Williams and Danieal Manning.

The offense just keeps on rolling, and it's actually been fun watching the games this season. Hopefully they can go into the bye week 7-3 and get rested up for a playoff push.

Other than Atlanta and the Bengals, the schedule seems much easier than the front half. It's hard not to be optimistic.

I'd take Pittsburgh and Baltimore over Houston at this point.

Houston already beat Pit this season. Since they got their asses handed to them by Baltimore, I'd rank them 2nd in that list.

I won't discount anyone but If the Steelers or Ravens are playing the Texans in the playoffs right now (I don't care where the game is), I would not put my money on the Texans.

I would want them to win, but wouldn't bet on it.

I will definitely keep an eye on the Bengals depending on how they come out after the next 5 games:

Nov. 13   Pittsburgh           1 p.m.
Nov. 20   at Baltimore   1 p.m.
Nov. 27   Cleveland           1 p.m.
Dec. 4   at Pittsburgh   1 p.m.
Dec. 11   Houston           1 p.m.

The only game that's almost a lock is against the Browns.

I haven't seen Pittburgh or Baltimore (except when they played the Rams) dominate opposing defensive lines when running the ball the way Houston has the past two games.  Jacksonville was supposed to be decent at stopping the run, yet Houston had no issues running on them.

And Houston doing it without Andre Johnson means that offense gets better and tougher to stop when he returns.  Baltimore plays to the level of their competition it seems a little way too often.  Pittsburgh??  I have no idea what to say about that team.  It's not near as complete as Houston right now.

I agree with Theohall that the Ravens tends to play to the level of their competition( Jax and Tenn games). Honestly, I hope the Ravens do not have to travel to Houston for a playoff game.  That said I am very interested in the Steelers & Bengals game next week.  History has shown that the Steelers always make the next opponent pay the price when the lose to the Ravens

As much as Indy has been a thorn in our side since 2002, I hate to see the way the Colts have imploded in Manning's absence.

Houston's defense has definitely improved, but I think the 3rd in total defense thing is a bit misleading. Four of Houston's nine games have come against teams in the bottom 6 in the league in total offense. Of the games Houston has played against teams in the top 16 in total offense (New Orleans, Pittsburgh, Baltimore, and Oakland), they've only had one good game defensively (against Pitt). Against the rest, they've given up 40, 29, and 25 points respectively. Not terrible, but not great. Let's see how they fare against Tampa Bay (15th), Atlanta (14th), and Carolina (5th) before praising their defense too much.

As great a player as Manning is, there is no way the core of this team, outside of Manning could be this bad.  I have to believe they are tanking this season.  I dont like believing it but its hard not to.  If they get the top pick and Manning is actually done, then they get Luck.  If Manning recovers and they dont want Luck, they will have the most tradable #1 draft pick in quite some time.  They could beef up their team big time.  Its a win/win for the Colts and winning is the only thing that can mess it up.  I dont think they are going to let that happen.

Don't forget there's football tomorrow night.  Well if you want to call it that, after all it's the Raiders playing.

I'm still finding it hard to believe that the niners can clinch their division in week 11.  Assuming they win the next two games and the rest of the nfc west loses.  I'm not sure if that scenario has changed, but that's the last I heard.

Pretty bummed for this week.  I have to be in NYC for meetings on Monday and I don't want to bother with the red eye so I'm giving up my seat/tailgating for this week.  I did book an early enough flight on Sunday so I can watch the 49er game (in NY, ironically enough), so I'll be sporting my still undefeated ANDY LEE 49er jersey on the streets of Manhattan.

It's definitely a test for the offense.  I don't think you can count on the D to keep the Giants in single digit scoring, so the offense is going to have to put up at least two TDs to have a shot at this.  I think it'll be a great game.
