WTF IS THIS GARBAGE?! That game was thrown. There is no other logical explanation. I would have been better off putting my head through a wall then committ the time I did to watch that game.

Romo is not a franchise QB. Your owner is the Devil and your def coord is a tool.
Thanks, Lions, for making the local sports media even more entertaining this week.

Wow, what an amazing two weeks its been for the Lions. To do that in back to back games, both on the road?! I know people want to blame Romo for that lose, and lord knows he deserves blame but you have to give credit to the Lions defense. They had to make those plays or there was no way they were going to come back. 4-0 baby! Can you believe that the Detroit Lions have the longest current winning streak in the NFL? Now theres a sign of the coming Apocalypse! I need me a Lions Jersey with this : on the back

What did Romo do this week? I was watching other games.
He led Dallas to a 27 -3 whoopin of the Detroit Lions. Unfortunately he forgot there was a little time left on the clock and proceeded to throw 3 ints, two of them returned for tds and the third led to the final score in the game. When it was all over he left the field having led the worst collapse in Dallas history. Talk radio in Texas is gonna be a riot this week.

You seem to have forgotten, that in order to be thrown under the bus, they need to get out from under the bus they've been under since Wide Right....

See, but the Colts would have won with Peyton. I think Colts fans would take short touchdown passes that lead to wins.

now that was a game. Alex Smith did enough, but the defense and Gore did their job.
It's pretty cool to see how the team has progressed from week 1 to now. Different parts of the team excelled the last 4 weeks, and today all the pieces came together, and played that way all game long. Alex isn't doing great pass yardage wise, but he's doing enough to move the ball, and more importantly, not making mistakes.

It was shocking to see the Bucs disintegrate every time the Niners ran the sweep. I am simply amazed the Niners dominated so convincingly. Only bummer is Morgan fracturing his ankle in garbage time.

yes, that was a horrible decision to go for it on 4th and 2. I'm not saying to take a knee at 4 mins to go, but to be so aggressive like that when the game was already won was a bit irresponsible on the coaching staff part, and now that might cost them.

So who would have thought the niners would be in first with a commanding lead in the NFC west. I was picturing the NFC west to be clustered with similar standings. What's an even more crazier thought, the lions being undefeated. And that makes their matchup the game of the week. Niners first real test. If the niners play the way they did last week (4 complete quarters) I think we walk away with the win. I'm hoping the lions get a little high on ego and not take the niners seriously. I don't think it will be a blow out, but a true battle.
Either way it's been a surprising season, seeing Smith play consistently well, I still have strong doubts, and I'm waiting for his old self to appear. I have every right to reserve my praise based on the last 6 years. But I will acknowledge he's playing well, I'm just ready to fully believe in him yet. Might take a season or 2 for that to happen.

He still has the potential to function in a Romo-like capacity. Engender just enough belief and hope to really crush your hopes once the postseason is on the line.

This weekend is actually a real litmus test for the 49ers. The Lions are a bad, bad matchup. If they manage to keep it close (or even win), that says a lot about how far this team has come.
Regardless of the outcome they are in the drivers seat to win the putrid NFC West.
Also I can't believe that Indy is going to end up with Andrew Luck.

No way, it will be the Broncos. John Fox will be the first coach in history to earn the first pick in two consecutive drafts with two different teams.

Also I can't believe that Indy is going to end up with Andrew Luck.
Not with Philadelphia doing our best to sneak into the Andrew Luck sweepstakes. Factor in Manning's eventual return and Indy's QB needs may not justify such a high pick. Philadelphia on the other hand looks to need a complete top-to-bottom overhaul. Vick had his fluke season last year, but he obviously isn't the long-term answer. Nor is Kafka. It's been a fun ride for over a decade, but change is looming near. Still, our defensive needs appear even more severe. A buddy has his eyes on Vontaze Burfict from ASU. He's like The Hulk in that you piss him off, then point him in the general direction of the intended target and stand back. Collateral damage is an inevitability. But we're in need of immediate changes right now, so the draft isn't much of a help for this season. Then again, anything short of imploding the Linc wasn't do much to help this season. Of course all of this will be rendered moot when Reid drafts another o-lineman. This season has gone from frustrating to comical. At least it takes the pressure off of being completely emotionally invested in team success when I need to be worrying more about pharmacy school applications. It certainly hasn't helped my alcoholism, though. With the Phillies choking in the postseason and the Eagles trying their damnedest to not make the playoffs yet win just enough for a garbage draft position, at least the Flyers look strong.

I'm hoping the lions get a little high on ego and not take the niners seriously.
You obviously have not been following the Lions very much. The one thing that really impresses is the grounded attitude the team projects. They insist that they have won nothing yet and that while every win is a step forward, as Detroit fans have seen many times before it is way too easy to fall back. The Niners may well take this game but it wont be because they Lions didnt take them seriously. If you want to be Detroit, youre going to have to out play them.

You obviously have not been following the Lions very much. You're right, but what I describe happens all the time to every team at some point. Maybe the lions haven't experienced that for quite a while due to their ineptitude over the years, but being undefeated has a lot of pressure associated with, not to mention having this type of success especially when not used to be successful also adds to that pressure. At some point after tasting success, one could easily lose focus. I've seen the niners do it many times (back in the day). Not saying the lions will do it, but it's certainly possible.
