So what did David Cronenberg know that scientists didn't?

Fish tongues. Fish tongues. Little stubby fish tongues. Fish tongues. Fish tongues. Eat 'em up. Yum!

"scientists say the creature does not pose any threat to humans and only attaches itself to fish tongues."
For now...

Scientists are very excited by the find. Well excuse me for not being excited one bit by the find. This is most disturbing. I must send a message to the overlords immediately. This threat will not be taken lightly. You will be hearing from us, Earth fish.

CeeKay, what in the HELL is that thing? My God, that is ghastly.
It looks like it lives in the water, which is just fine since, aside from the bath tub, I tend to avoid the stuff. Lord if the general populace knew of such a creature we'd scrap the whole war on terror and go after that abomination. Jesus I'm horrified. :x

Yea, that's a deep sea isopod, IIRC. It's amazing, and horrifying, what kind of alien creatures reside in our oceans! Think of that the next time you are on a transoceanic flight!

CeeKay, what in the HELL is that thing? My God, that is ghastly. I was told it's a parasitic fish louse. From what I hear they can swim up a pipe and show up in the toilet

I mean... Fuck that thing looks more horrific than any Hollywood FX shop could ever hope to conceive of. Wanna make Doom 3 scary? Screw the upside-down baby heads with spider legs, just add those. My God, if I made Silent Hill/RE/Fatal Frame it would just be endless loops of that bastard in action. Scariest game ever! Lord, I look at those eyes and I see my soul being devoured.
