Heinz has long struggled to find a design that lets diners dip or squeeze ketchup that could also be sold at a price acceptable to its restaurant customers. Or they could have just called Whataburger...

Except you couldn't squeeze it on something.
This design allows you to do both. So maybe Whateverburger should call up Heinz.

Does that design allow squeezing then? I can't see anything like that in your picture. One of the points with Heinz' new packet is that it can be both squeezed and dipped.
Edit: Yeah, what naednek said. A pox on you for being faster!

Peel back a corner and squeeze. That white stuff is plastic, not ceramic. It doesn't require a specially designed tomato puree exhaust port.

Yes it does. Ketchup is all about the accessories.

Yes! I read this article the other day. Told some co-workers and they looked at me like I was a raving lunatic for being so excited about it. We can fly to the moon, but it's taken 40 years to make an advancement in ketchup packet packaging? Haha, yay! Now lets hope companies are willing and able to fork over the extra cent or whatever per package.

It holds 3x as much ketchup? Do we really need that much? People are still going to use two or three packets, which means tons more. No wonder we're so fat.

The ketchup in those packets is mostly high fructose corn syrup. In fact, only organic ketchup is made without HFCS. I stopped eating restaurant and take-out ketchup when I cut that stuff out of my diet.
