Popeye is being brought back to the big screen, and he's in good hands:  Genndy Tartakovsky of Samurai Jack and The Clone Wars mini movies is directing.

The recent rerelease of classic Popeye cartoons had me very into the character again (I even picked up some of the comic reprints), so I'm hopeful this will recapture that magic.

Better be the 'classic' Popeye where he talks to himself all the time like Robin Williams did!
